Not really much to complain about. A bit tricky locating switches for some things..storage radiator could do with being replaced as it's outdated and says hot for far too long

Lots of rules and no hot water or heating until we had read all the info! They knew we were arriving so why not put on the hot water and heating? According to Booking.com we could arrive after 3 and checkout at 10. However, we were not allowed to check in before 5pm!

The location and therefore the views were amazing. The Kitchen is obviously new and well stocked.

Storage heaters so was not very warm all the time but lovely hot showers on demand

Fabulous location - right beside the Mere which was great for the morning wild swimming - and an easy walk into town - no worries with parking .

There should have been coffee and tea, even just a few tea bags would have been nice. No amenities at all!

For a booking accomodation, on this price range I would have expected more details to make you feel welcome, e.g. having soap on bathrooms, salt in the kitchen, a sponge for doing the dishes, etc. The living room furniture could be more updated, and one of the toilets had problem with flushing

Beautiful view of the lake with access to swimming, and just next door you can rent a kayak 20m walk from Ambleside is good, and plenty of buses passing by behind the place Beds were very comfy

What let this location down was the fact that all the local eateries closed fairly early in the day, usually between 4.30 and 5.00pm, the two large hotels were available for a meal but value for money, that's another story. We used the YHA building, just next door and found their prices to be reasonable and staff very pleasant.

As a couple we particularly liked the location, handy for the steamers and buses etc. The apartment is well catered for regarding kitchen equipment, entertainment and tv with numerous links to movie and tv program streaming. The location was very peaceful in the evenings and through the night. We could be critical of one or two things but that could be said of virtually anywhere. We would have no real reason not to wish for a return visit.

Whole place could do with a deep clean, and refresh-dishwasher had coffee stains on the edge- we didnt use it but that should be wiped on cleaning at change over Bedding clean but shower rooms really did need a deep clean-there was washable stains on the woodwork to the bathroom and in the bedroom walls- I think it just in need of a refresh Living area clean-smelt a bit fusty but i think that was just becasue its an old property I have listed these things but i understand its not easy with lets but definite focus on a deep clean would help

Incredible location by the lake, with great access to local shops, pubs, harbour and beauty spots. A nice, clean place - well equipped. With an outstanding view across the lake and fells.

Although the rooms were clean I didn't like the spiders in my twin room.

The rooms and all the facilities were very clean and the views overlooking windermere lake was superb.

Gorgeous apartment, the view alone is worth every penny. Modern kitchen, comfy beds, cosy living room, and not to mention the Jacuzzi bath, which were a highlight for my 7 year old daughter, exactly what you need after a day of hiking. Will return without a doubt.
