Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHad couple of issues which we spoke to the owner of the Property about, nothing major. Could maybe do with an outside light coming on when entering the property in the evening as the entrance is quite dark. We couldn't find any instruction manual for the TV and we couldn't figure out how to work it so didn't watch it..but our fault we should've asked.
Location was good..only a 12-15 minute walk from the train station. Good large spacious house, comfortable beds. Two bathrooms which is always handy. We loved that the house had still retained some of its old features ie..wooden beams.

United KingdomGreat size. There were plenty of plates and bowls. We were provided toilet roll and washing up liquid. Friendly hosts, very helpful. As described it’s narrow to get the car through the tunnel. Plenty of free parking outside if you don’t want to take your car in.

United KingdomThere were a few minor issues that didn't really effect the stay. Didn't make a massive difference to the accommodation just for the price was expecting these little issues to be sorted
Just having the whole family together over Christmas was nice. Plenty of rooms for everyone to be together.

United KingdomA little more care could have been put into daily essentials, eg there was no tea towel provided and only 3 cereal bowls, but these didn’t stop us enjoying our stay.
The property was beautifully presented, with lovely character features, yet modern facilities. Loved the location. The parking was good. Lots of space and rooms to relax in. Good communication and help from owners.

United KingdomWe have a slightly larger car and so driving through to the parking spaces at the back was a bit scary. But that's what you get with the age of house and wouldn't put me off staying again.
This was a really spacious accommodation and well maintained. Would stay here again. Owners very responsive. Excellent communication.

United KingdomThe entrance isn't very wide for cars so you have to get someone to guide you in. It's a listed building from centuries ago so that's just how it is.
I loved the house. It had lots of character whilst having up to date facilities. Beds were comfortable and had a lovely little patio. I don't think the pictures do it justice.

Milton House is central to the village of Milton Regis and close to the A2 / M2 for access to the North Kent Coast. The house was spacious for three people but the bedroom chosen to be away from traffic noise was at the top of the house and smaller than others.

NetherlandsTaking into account that it is an old house, some modern comforts could be better. There is no toilet downstairs, the bathroom on the first floor has a bath but no shower, the bathroom on the second floor has a small shower.
The House at n° 66 has 4 bedrooms, very adequate to receive us (3 adults, 2 children). Parking space available (not for very big cars though). Large kitchen and lounge. Excellent contact with hosts.

FranceIn our opinion, the beds were too soft (but that is a matter of taste). On booking, not all the rooms of both houses are shown in the pictures, and renters don’t know which house they are are booking. The sofas are old and very deep. There is no dish washer and big plates and cutlery are missing. The walls with the other house are paper thin. The floors creak. It was difficult to reach the owners using their contact information on booking. We had to rely on the phone number from google map.
Having 3 bathrooms is very convenient. Fluffy towels. The location is good and free parking onsite makes life easier. 15 minutes walk from Sittingbourne station. The kitchen is fairly well equipped. The washing machine was useful.

United KingdomThe second-hand pots and pans were a bit tired and need replacing. The range of utensils and oven ware also needs widening. Some oven gloves would help
The location was peaceful, and being on the High Street was not a problem. In fact, it was very accessible. The house itself was spacious and comfortable, and the nice kitchen was appreciated. Both bathrooms were excellent, great powerful showers. The house was clean, and Sue was extremely attentive, responding to messages promptly. Excellent service on that front. The fridge freezer was a good size, along with a nice cooker and oven. It was great to have ample free parking for 2 cars. The courtyard is handy, too. Easy access to the property. All 4 bedrooms were set out nicely, clean with lovely beds. We enjoyed our stay.
