The food wasn't great we left the breakfast because the bacon and sausage didn't taste to good and the coffee was not drinkable the evening meal was not good either there not much of a choice we had to get a takeaway after plus when u have breakfast if you're disabled there is not good assess to the breakfast area because there is steps

Why so few TV channels?

Booked an afternoon tea, evening meal, and overnight stay for a party of ten. Everything was organised for us superbly and service was outstanding.

Only downside was no a/c in the room, however it did have a stand up fan.

Hotel was lovely, staff excellent and attentive. Breakfast was also very nice. Our stay was very short, but would definitely consider returning. Very convenient location.

Superb location just off the M6, beautiful grounds and building. Evening meal and breakfast was gorgeous and plentiful. A special mention to the staff who went above and beyond and we will look forward to coming back again in the future.

Minor point, we didn't see a fridge in our room and fresh fruit rather than tinned fruit at breakfast would have added a nice touch.

Location was perfect although we could hear the motorway in the distance but didn't affect us. Food and staff were excellent.

Bedroom decor very dark, making room dark.

Absolutely beautiful building in a beautiful setting, easily accessible from the motorway. Comfortable, good sized bedroom with good sound insulation. Good size bathroom. Plenty of onsite parking. Large airy restaurant, with 1st class food. Places to sit in the garden by the water .

Unfortunately there were many flies and wasps that spoiled a drink outdoors.

Both Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were superb. Loved our meal in the hotel. Air Conditioning in both the restaurant and bedroom was much appreciated (and needed)nduring the heatwave.

View from room was limited and room a bit small. I found the eggs Benedict for breakfast was disappointing. No where to go on foot outside of the hotel. Would very much benefit from a swimming pool I believe

Location and immediate grounds beautiful. Very remote/out of the way of towns. The evening meal was exceptional, also my husband had a full English breakfast which he fully enjoyed. Extras bread, fruit and yogurt really nice The room was comfortable nice and clean. The staff were mostly very helpful.

The flies. They were baaaaad. Understandably, it’s a moat so water = lots of insects etc and it was a very hot weekend, but when you’re trying to eat a meal and constantly wafting flies away, you start to lose your sense of humour. Probably need to invest more in reducing flies in the building? Shame, as otherwise all very good.

Dining at the hotel (breakfast or dinner) was a nightmare, due to the flies. You could not relax and enjoy your food. Surely, all those flies = a massive health hazard! Surprising, considering it is a 4* establishment.

A lot of flies whilst we were trying to eat both indoors and out. Extremely hot weather when we were staying & it was an issue in the surrounding village not just the hotel.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Great car parking facilities.
