Room had a wooden panel with a door connecting to adjoining room. You could hear people talking in the next room. Walls too thin to keep out noise, even when people just talking normally. Could not get safe to lock

Location good for Hyde Park, Paddington station and West End generally. Breakfast good with plenty of choice.

Access to our room was full of twists and turns, slopes, doors and stairs which might have been difficult with a large suitcase or for the less able. The room itself was very small but ok for a short visit if you’re out for most of the day. It was too warm for us but we were told that the temperature could not be reduced and we could not open the windows. We reported one or two problems with the bathroom which will hopefully be sorted. Beware of the hot radiator as you exit the shower!

The staff were very helpful. There is good access to Hyde Park, the tube network, restaurants and shopping. It is very quiet. The bedding and towels were of good quality.

First night our room was located on a mews side, under the garage. There were garbage bins next to our windows that were emptied during that night. Luckily we were transferred into upper floor on the next day. I felt that everything was a bit broken. Inside pictures of the hotel do not match the hotel overall feeling at all.

Slowest lift in the world, single beds on wheels that slide around and poor fit out without proper separate bathroom as it is a conversion from a house into smaller rooms.

Tiny room but got all you need so not a problem if staying for a night or two. Soap and shampoo hanging on a wall way too high for a child to reach and no possibility to take it off the wall so a bit of inconvenience if staying with a small child.

The location was great. Simple but nice breakfast. Although we had a tiny room, the shower was spacious enough.

I booked a double room. What I got was 2 single beds pushed together with 2 single duvets on top. The room itslef was ok - but the hotel doesnt have any soft close fire doors and are quite noisy. Plus there are ALOT of doors in this hotel - lots of short corridors and levels. The buffet breakfast was great but the cooked elements were not hot.

I could write a whole litany here, but it would be long, so I'll just list them: 1. The room was the size of a small handkerchief 2. The room was very old-fashioned 3. The bathroom was renovated, but there was so little water pressure that the shower head had to be removed to get the water flowing a little better and to wash the shower gel off in about 5 minutes 4. There was a hairdryer in the room, but no sockets in the bathroom (where the mirror was) 5. The room was very old-fashioned 6. There was an iron, but no socket, see below; 10. Connector for charging phones was hidden behind the bed 11. Although the hotel was supposed to be 4 star, they could not provide a European standard socket converter, so sent me to a nearby Chinese shop to buy one at 11 PM 12. The bed is narrow for two people, however we are not fat 13. After cleaning, the staff left the door wide open for the whole day, but fortunately they didn't steal anything and tried to compensate this mistake with a breakfast (thank you!) 14. Breakfast is pleasant, but in our opinion £20/person is too expensive 15. The reception staff were invariably bored and resigned 16. Overall, I think it is a far from the 4 star rating and quality that Best Western is used to 17. since we checked out, we have received several emails from the property to appreciate their work in a review (I think they expected a better one) 18. All in all, even with the Genius 3 discount, they are overpriced.

If I have to write good things about the accommodation, I can mention two things: 1. The location of the hotel, 2. The kindness of the breakfast staff. Everything else is not good, but rather bad.

The kettle was no where near a plug. I had to move it to the other side of the room to use it and balance it on the bedside table. The cold tap never became cold and was unpleasant using warm water.
