Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeStairs only so those lugging luggage will have to take note. Location wasn’t the most central, slightly out of the city centre but there’re buses that go straight to city centre from the bus stop outside the hotel so all’s good. Residence has a rustic feel so it creaks in some places but not a big issue!
It was surprisingly a aparthotel in way, like a residence home but with huge spacious room and clean toilet. Windowsill view was gorgeous and room amenities were great with wide selection of tea bags and coffee. This was the first hotel that provided bedroom slippers and bathrobes throughout our trip around Scotland so we appreciated it. There was also a fan provided in the cupboard if required. Free parking for those driving as well!

LatviaSome functional items in bathroom and room could be better maintained.
Breakfast was excellent. Besides self-service snacks table there were option to order a hot meal from breakfast menu. Recommend to book offer with included breakfast. Although regular breakfast coffe was quite weak for us, waiter was so nice that made us coffee from bar free of charge. Hotel executed our wish for quiet room and it really was very important for us to get good rest during intensive daily events. We very much appreciated possibility to open the windows for fresh air. At the same time heating was working very well and provided us with option to adjust comfort to our needs we were used to living in our own private house. Hotel and restaurant interior was cozy and we felt really nice. Reception and restaurant staff was truly kind and responsive. Location of hotel is very good - it's in a way from airport to center, so several bus lines are avaialble. Hotel is located in nice district of private houses, near Murrayfield stadium which is visible from hotel but still distant enough with park and water channel in the way.

LatviaLindsay is great and pleasant in administration, sooo nice person. I recommend booking a table in the restaurant, the fish was perfectly cooked and the haggis was very tasty. The hotel room was exactly to my taste, with an exit to the garden, it was perfect. A bus stop next door takes you directly to the center of Edinburgh.

United KingdomNo lift…had to carry bags up the stairs, which was less than ideal as am not 100% mobile, so that hurt a fair bit.
Room size, especially the height of the ceilings, but the whole thing from doors to furnishings had a luxury feel. My wife said “best room I’ve ever stayed in”…that cemented it for me, a “win”.

United KingdomOn arrival in the evening, the staff we encountered had not read any notes passed over. There was very little tact and attention to detail when it came to paying, as it was meant to be a surprise. I didn't need the cost announced to everyone in the reception!
The staff I spoke with on the phone was wonderful. The room was lovely, and we really appreciated the added touch of the towel decor and birthday message in the room.

GreeceThe floor was making a lot of creaking sound. The bathroom didn't have space to hang your clothes and it was difficult to find how to put the hot water on.
The room was huge and very clean. The beds were big and you had plenty o space. Our room had a huge TV, perfect if you want to relax watching a movie after a busy day in Edinburgh.

SpainIt was a little bit hot in the room when we arrived, but it's not a big complaint as it was very cold outside, and in fact you could control the temperature once inside. Also we feel the breakfast might be a little overpriced, but again, it was quite okay.
Good location, next to a bust stop that we could use to take the bus to the centre and then back to the hotel. Also there is free parking spots. The breakfast offer, although is small, it's quite nice, with different options. What we deffinitely loved though, was the service offered by Lindsey, one of the staff members who made our stay absolutely amazing and willing to come back at some point, specially considering we just had one day to visit Edimburgh. We arrived a little bit late and we were worrying we could not have dinner anywhere. She quickly asked to the restaurant (which by the way is located on the hotel itself, which makes it very convenient) if they could book a table for two, and everywthing was perfect. Also, it's one of the places where we had an excellent dinner.

RomaniaThe cleaning staff should pay more attention, there were spiderwebs, dust and the carpet had lots of stains. What really needs to be taken care of is changing the towels - during our 6-day stay they were not changed at all.
The location is fantastic, design of the hotel is very nice and the people we interracted with were great. Also, it is good that you can choose from multiple breakfasts, not only continental (we had breakfast included).
