Unfortunately the central heating was timed to come on based on the temperature of the bar area rather than the bedrooms. There was a small portable radiater in the room but it was a little chilly.

The building is old and has character, set in a very pretty village. The food was very good, especially the breakfast.

We stayed for an evening meal which was a little over priced in our opinion and the vegetarian option not as flavoursome as I would have liked (did feed this back to the waitress at the time). The bar shut early, as we were the only people there, which felt a little awkward as we wanted to stay for a couple more drinks after our meal. We ordered a couple of drinks and took them to our room in the end which was fine.

The newly refurbished room was lovely and spacious and the bed super comfy.

An amazing country inn with great food and a plush bedroom. Just what I needed after a hard day's walk. The supper club was great value for money. I will definitely be back again in the future.

A pump or refrigerator system was going on and off most of the night. But other than that, you couldn't fault it.

Lovely inn, beautifully decorated with a fabulous atmosphere. Extremely friendly and attentive staff, lovely bedding and room and fantastic breakfast.

It was great and the bedrooms are due to be refurbished as some parts are bit tired.

The toilet seat in the bathroom needed replacing as it was loose.

Particularly busy and noisy when we were staying and the room was directly above the bar. Despite reserving a table 2 months in advance for 2 people, we were initially put in the bar instead of the restaurant as they were expecting a big group of people. Unfortunately the big group were in the bar at the time of our dinner reservation, so we couldn’t eat there as it was too crowded, and the restaurant asked us to come back half hour later. Unfortunately placed on a table which was clearly an “emergency extra” table right in the middle of the floor walk way through to the kitchen, no dinner set up (salt and pepper / candles etc as the other tables had). Lots of lovely other tables, so I was a little disappointed seeing as we had booked so far in advance and this was a very special occasion for us.

A really lovely room with a four-poster bed, large tv and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom and shower were great and very clean. 2 comfortable seats and a small table.. The bed was great and very comfortable. I had a lovely meal and the guiness was really good.. Staff were very professional and friendly and breakfast was excellent.

It needs a bit of a revamp in some parts of the rooms but that’s just fine detail

It’s a great mix of the old and the new. Loved the food. The Korean Beef Two Ways was out of this world. They also do a mean Espresso Martini 🍸

It was very warm in the room, especially at night. We had a fan on the last night which helped a bit .

I would have liked more selection of the buffet, cereals , yogurt etc and a stronger coffee. The hotel was lovely. The dinner very nice....

Tranquil setting, lovely old pub but stylish decor and traditional rooms. Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Had a great nights sleep as very quiet and the mattress was superb. Food in the restaurant is excellent - couldn’t fault it. All round winner.

The room was very hot given the weather and although a fan was already in the room, it was very hot and took a lot longer to get to sleep.

Really friendly staff and nice location. Room was very clean, modern, comfortable and really good value for money. Had a great evening meal in the restaurant, Would not hesitate to come back again.
