Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This is such a nice, cosy, quiet place to stay. The owners are genuinely friendly, helpful and lovely. The breakfast looks and taste amazing. The rooms are clean, fresh and bed was so comfortable. I have been many places in Blackpool and without doubt this stays the best. I will continue to go back to stay again.

I should have booked more nights to be fair. We settled in so well that 3 nights wasn't enough . Oh, and I couldn't go up to the tower eye 😭 not open til May 🙂
The break was excellent. Good choice and cooked to perfection. The room was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and spacious. The owners were absolutely brilliant 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂 I couldn't have chosen better to celebrate my 50th birthday weekend with my wife

Not too much to be fair, location is a little out of town so trams required but compared to the value it was fine. I found the bed a little hard for my liking but my wife loved it. My pillow was hard so I spoke to Simon and this was rectified straight away.
Amazing hosts, very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for you. Value for money! Breakfast was outstanding 10/10

The room was a little small, bathroom was big enough for one person to use at any one time. The shower tray had some hairs in the plug.
The hosts were brilliant, really friendly and welcoming. The location of the hotel was great, nice and quiet, plenty of parking outside available and in a great place to catch the tram into town. Breakfast was great also, plenty of choice available. When we return to Blackpool, we will definitely stay at the same place!

Easy to find plenty of street parking close by… the room was brilliant had an en-suite comfy bed had its own fridge too and a huge tv on the wall. Just felt like being at home. 10/10

Could do with blind at bathroom window. Breakfast room was a little cold.
Very warm welcome. Room was lovely, clean. Bed was comfortable. Lovely bathroom,with bath and plenty of shelf space to put bits on. Lovely spotless towels and plenty of them. Radiator we could control. Breakfast was outstanding in a lovely room. Definitely would recommend. None carpet room, I think is more hygienic.
