Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very friendly and professional welcome, particularly liked the complimentary drinks. Very comfortable room, good shower and pleasant decor. Good location for central Leeds.

The car park facilities were tight and limited and I don't believe a hotel should charge guests for parking. I think that is a rip off and never used to happen. I will be looking for hotels that don't charge for car parking in the future. I may not find any but as a guest I don't think parking should be an extra charge.
I must make a special mention for your member of staff Karina on the front desk. She was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Her manner was wonderful and I was so grateful for the way she treated me as a guest. Thank you Karina.

The TV was not smart. It is not a problem, but we prefer to have a smart TV to use youtube before sleeping. The sofa was prepared as a thin bed for the kid and the kid is only 2 years old so he couldn't sleep there because he would fall down during sleeping.. we prefer if it was a cot bed.. we put the sofa mattress down on the floor to prevent him from falling down, but we didn't ask for cot bed as it was written in booking that the room has no space for a cot bed.
The room was clean and quiet. We love the hotel location (5 minutes of walking away from the train station and city centre). We like that there was air conditioning and they accepted toddlers in a double room in addition to two adults. We asked them to put balloons before we arrived because we were celebrating a special occassion and wanted to make our son happy.. and they put balloons and a greeting cards 👍

Only enough coffee and milk for one cup per person. You can call reception for more, but it's still poor standards compared to the rest of the hotel.

We weren’t able to park in the hotel car park as it was full. The lady on reception was very helpful however in signposting an alternative, albeit more expensive, option.

The menu range for the indoor restaurant could have been more expensive. The in house laundry service on offer was way too expensive to use. E.G..more than 3 pounds per shirt ! In the end, I took my laundry to an automaic laundry in the Merrion Centre and paid the far more reasonable price of 7 pounds in total for washing and drying.
The location was excellent, as it was so close to the city center..Therefore , I could go shopping and dining out with ease. It's proximity to the rail station ensured that me and my partner were easily able to make several side trips to Harrogate, York etc.

If the housekeeping could prepare the basic necessities by the number of persons stayed at the room would be better.
Very good breakfast, good shower, good location and clean. Our family of four stay here for one night, the slippers were not enough, housekeeping send us more in a reasonable time. The shower is great and spacious, water pressure is good, I can easily assist my child for their shower. There is a home style coffee machine in the room and I could get hot water from it conveniently. My kids love the breakfast buffet, they could get what they want by themselves and the choice is quite enough.

Bed wasn't the comfiest for me and a bit firm however this my own opinion.
Staff at the reception and in the bar were fantastic, especially the reception staff on arrival and leaving. Really helpful and super friendly. Our room was lovely especially the bathroom really modern and the shower was great and massive for a hotel!
