The room was very noisy with a fire door close by that was very noisy when it closed, this door was opening and closing until early morning. The smoke alarm was above the bed and was continually flashing so was like trying to sleep in a disco. I payed extra for a better room with a lake view, although the room was nice to say it had a lake view was pushing it as I had to squint to get a small glance of the lake in a small gap in the trees that were directly outside my window. I thought it was expensive for room only when other people that checked in as i was checking in got a far better deal for b&b + evening meal

The lift was not working but as we were leaving the engineers were there so it was good to see it was being fixed (not a problem for us but for others it would have been). Breakfast is made to order which is good, but limited to just full English, cereals and fruit. It would be good to update the menu to include avocado on toast, eggs Benedict etc..

Lovely location and building. Our room (amaryllis) was large, period style, clean and very pleasant surprise.

The bathroom dated and peeling paint. They were fully booked for dinner even though we were guests we didn’t have the option to have but the bar staff was excellent and was able to get us bar food

The lack of food options in gluten-free very limited what can have over price We visited at the worst time due to boiler issues they can't help as old place even though frustrating we had hardly any hot water or heating it came on around 11 pm to 12 am The hot drink was very limited 2 milk 2 tea bags 2 coffee for 2 people It's only enough to make one hot drink each Also, need to make sure people are aware of 30 holding fee Intel you check out of the room the next day and then have to wait for it to go back into your bank It is something should not have to do if not interested in room service or drink at bar we was Gutted not to rehome a nunsmere teddy as we never found one in the room we did look as it say in the welcoming book for the room

Beautiful place and a lovely hotel very clean and comfortable staff were friendly and welcoming Room simple bed was comfortable the room looked over the garden and lake let down was the little touches in the welcome book and information on the hotel we are sad that we did not have the option to purchase the nunsmere teddy yes not needed but would been nice to have the options

The bathroom was a bit dated and this is only a observation ( not a complaint) the hot taps could do with blending valves because there’s no way anyone will ever complain about the lack of HOT water at the Numsmere…..absolutely steaming.

Really enjoyed the hotel and its outside space. The staff were excellent and friendly. The food was well cooked. Our room was spacious and clean.

Vegan Breakfast was abit basic and not much thought put into it and portion size was small. Could do with staff checking in when breakfast is served to see if everything is OK Bedroom could get abit stuffy
