The bed was incredibly squeaky. The slightest movement made a noise so we kept waking each other up.

Room wasn't very clean and was tired looking. Although breakfast was already in the room we only had 1 bowl and spoon (this was rectified on 2nd day) there was no option for my vegan partner even though I mentioned on booking so we ended up having to buy soya milk etc for him.

Quite run down with several issues around maintenance, cleanliness and site management. The television didn’t work, it switched on but insufficient signal to be able to watch it. The bathroom mirror light didn’t work, the bed was quite uncomfortable and very rickety. The continental breakfast wasn’t provided as advertised, I contacted the number as advised but nobody came back to me and the missing breakfast wasn’t resolved.

Room was quite dirty especially the shower, glasses and kettle were dusty, clearly not cleaned after each use. Coffee machine didn’t work, Found it expensive as breakfast was fairly basic. Chairs in bedroom covered in stains. No food serviced in the bar and No breakfast downstairs.

The bathroom could do with a refurb but I realise that costs money and once done would probably increase the price of staying. Housekeeping need a checklist as they kept not refilling things in the room. They also didn’t make the beds or hoover the floor which it needed as breakfast is only served in the room. Also if serving breakfast in the room they need two seats so you can eat somewhere other than the bed. Just points to make it nicer though as we really enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable there.

Lovely old property with spacious nicely decorated bedroom. The beds were really comfortable. The staff were also really friendly and happy to help sort out any issues. I enjoyed being able to come and go as I pleased without feeling watched.

Although the room was the honeymoon suite it was very dimly lit tv was out of action bathroom was very dim and the light in the mirror was not working so difficult to see to have a shave and the fire alarm went off at 10pm and again at 8.00am in the morning

Room felt a little unloved. Curtains falling off the window rail. Old rolled/ folded newspaper behind bath ( presume used to prop open window) Bed frame loose - wobbly and creaky. Large TV not working. No central heating - small oil filled plug in radiator provided. Heated towel rail in bathroom not working. Continental breakfast left in room - not specified in description on Booking.com - although plenty of quantity of muffins, pastries provided perhaps some yogurt/ fruit would be welcome. Self check in - no staff .

Large room. Good rainforest shower. Comfortable bed. Fresh milk, fruit juice ,bottled water supplies in a small fridge. Continental breakfast pastries, muffins were plentiful but a bit of a carb fest. Great location overlooking a lovely square. Good pub opposite for evening meal.

Not impressed by the breakfast, No plates for the croissants so crumbs went everywhere., light in bathroom over mirror didn't work, and no signal for the television so there were no channels to watch. Fine for 1 night.

Room needed some TLC.No parking and no evening meal available.Breakfast was provided, but was put in your room before you arrived.There was nowhere to warm up your crossisant in the morning and instant porridge !!Where given our key on arrival but not shown to our room had to find our own way.

Could not use the bath as it leaked . Wi-Fi reception was ok but neither television worked and staff said they couldn’t do anything to help . Just warm tea at breakfast . Really think we should have had a partial refund for all things not working that we paid for on booking . Staff kept making excuse as we we were only there for one night

Breakfast was really good apart from just warm tea served in teapot without a lid . Location was perfect for the event we attended . Clean room and comfortable bed with lots of extras

It was advertised as a four star accommodation but had no parking or evening dining. The room was alright but gloomy. I asked for granary bread, toasted, with marmalade and butter for breakfast ( not overly demanding you might think), and received toasted hovis, 2 slices, two plastic butter packets and strawberry jam. Four star ???? 2.5 star.

Very noisy to sleep, bellringing at church and every hour through the night clock striking on the hour. Such a shame as we suffered with having hardly any sleep because of it.

There was no food being served which we didn’t know until we arrived. We had to have pastries in our room for breakfast and walk across the square to the other pub for dinner. The TV in our room didn’t work and the shower almost flooded as it drained slowly.

Room 10 was lovely - spacious, big comfy bed, nicely set up. As others have said the rest of the property needs a bit of TLC. We had a drink in the bar area which was pleasant.
