Dirty room

The staff was fine and the area too .

When I turned up they tried to put me in a room without a private bathroom even though I had paid for one or a TV but after speaking to the manager we came to an agreement of a discount. Unfortunately the new room had dirty marks on the walls and the shower hadn't been cleaned, plus the blind was broken so it made it hard to get privacy while I got changed.

Being next to the canal was nice and the parking was ample

The hotel was grim, used q-tips in the bathroom and brown stains all over the room. The shower took 10 minutes to get warm. I can tell no one has cared about this place for years I’ve spent a lot of time travelling and in hostels but this is the worse place for cleanliness I’ve ever stayed.

The room was filthy. Shared bathroom even though I specifically searched for private bathroom (I blame booking.com for that one as it still offers you rooms with a shared bathroom even though I searched for private only… sort it out!). Shared bathroom was filthy, mess on sink, urine on seat, urine on floor between toilet and shower… I have photos! Shower filthy. No toilet paper, had to ask for some. Room filthy, carpet not cleaned, splash marks on walls, no towels, had to ask for some. No tea/coffee, had to ask for some but then noticed kettle was full of black bits stuck to the element that came off when water was applied so we did not use it, had to ask for it to be washed then thought No, not a chance, absolutely disgusting 🤮 Could be a real nice place but at the moment its disgusting… shame really! Clean the rooms, sort that shared bathroom out, clean every day and supply toilet rolls, towels, teabags, coffee, etc… never staying there again unless you sort yourself out… prime location… massively disappointing!!

It needs to be clearly understood that this is not a family hotel. You shouldn't have your honeymoon here. The people who have reviewed it as such are being somewhat unfair. It is a few basic rooms above a pub. The rooms appeared mostly to be occupied by single men who I assumed were workmen from other parts of the country doing contracts in London. As a result, it was quiet, probably because they had to be up early. There is a shared bathroom (which was clean). My basic twin room was also clean. It was a bit pricey at £80, especially as there is a sign on the facade saying "rooms from £30". I guess if I'd had a friend with me, it would have been £40 each, which is reasonable for the location. My window had an extremely powerful yard lamp outside it that shone past the ill-fitting curtain all night, despite the barman promising that he'd turn it off at midnight. Instead of turning it off, the barman disappeared before midnight and left it to the night manager to discover that it couldn't be turned off, leading to a late-night row with me. Finally, English is not a first language among the staff, which might lead to difficulties if English is not your first language either.

The place was clean and quiet, once the pub closed.

one shower with toilet between 10+ rooms, shower was disgusting when got there, no towels!! Bin was full in room, sandwich wrapper beside bed, lamp didn’t work and both side tables have a light switch which had the wire hanging out back. one mug

The room was clean but the heater couldn't be turned off. The bathroom/shower was a mess. Unclean floor and sink. The address given was incorrect which required me to ask a local shopkeeper for directions. The phone number given did not help in locating the hotel.

I don't go with anything instead of giving me the room that imprinted 1000 on me once a very, very dirty room I had to change my self in my underwear to change my pillowcases to vacuum my room was full of garbage I didn't like anything in the house or in the room

Whole place was filthy, the staff were incredibly ignorant and was a functioning brothel! I know this because people were advertising the girls as i tried to get to my room!

The room was not as advertised I booked and got confirmation of booking.com for an ensuite room with television instead the man on the bar showed me room 10 and said that was my room I said no it’s not I showed him my booking confirmation and he has said that is wrong he said he has an ensuite one that I can have for another £90 and I just told him I’m leaving Got my case and walked stay away from this property all costs
