Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel needs some work on cleaning and some maintenance in common areas like stairs, windows etc. Cleaning in bathrooms in particular needs to be improved. One of the days the breakfast was slow and ended up with the wrong order. TVs could do with an upgrade with something that can take casts from apple/android.
The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. Breakfast is always nicely prepared. Was very surprised by the restaurant in the evening, expensive but very nicely presented and cooked.

Car park too small. Had to park in Pay & Display next door and then go out early next morning to pay for another ticket. Long walk to reception with cases, especially as one member of the party uses a walking stick

Having the private car park is great but the entrance is quite narrow and maneouvring around it is pretty tight.
Absolutely everything. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful, the room (#4) was absolutely superb - spacious, clean and the four poster bed was very comfortable. Hot breakfast cooked to order which was very good, as was the accompanying continental selection. We arrived early, intending to park and come back to check in later but were offered early check-in on the spot at no extra cost; fantastic customer service. They were also happy for us to leave the car there the next morning after we had checked out whilst we explored Oakham for a couple of hours. Mainly thanks to the staff, this was quite simply one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. We will be back!

We booked our breakfast on the Saturday morning at 10am, but by the time we had finished the main hot part of our breakfast, alot of the yoghurt and fruits were cleared away, so we missed out there. However, this did not happen on the Sundsy morning, I'm very glad to say.
For a 3 star hotel we thought it was very nice. The location was excellent, in Oakham, Rutland, England. The car parking facilities was excellent with lots of spaces.

The parking area for the hotel was a bit tight, but having a smaller car made it easier for us.
Nice, friendly and helpful staff. Room was very comfortable and clean. It was good to have the option to have evening meal in the hotel restaurant. The food was excellent for breakfast and evening meal. Vegetarian options very good.

Only one thing. It rained heavily while I was there and I had to walk though deep flood water to get to my car I the car park. I thought they might attend to the drains which couldn't cope with the water, or else provide decking to walk on.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and I had a lunch and an evening meal there with friends. The food was very good.

Lovely welcome and allowed to check in early. The room was large, clean and comfortable. It was on the ground floor. Breakfast was nice with a good selection, they remember that one person needed gluten free.

No plug points near the bed Service in the bar was rather slow so we had to wait to be seated at our table
Hotel was in an excellent location and was parking available on site. Room was spacious and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was superb. Staff were welcoming and helpful

The only way I can fault them is by being nit picky e.g. some of the wood was cracking and peeled, some carpets a bit old and worn. However, on the whole still excellent.
Staff were fantastic, very accommodating and helpful. Room was cheap, they fulfilled my request for twin room easily. Bar was lovely, far exceeding expectations, and the room was very clean and comfortable.
