We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

ZimbabweThe couch was not comfortable . There was No broom and no dustpan . The Hoover was not working . There was no Xtra linen to change . I stayed for 2 weeks !!! I had someone try to unlock the door when Zi was there saying they came to take pictures !! It was not a good experience Would recommend to have twin beds instead of a double bed . My sisters was on a wheelchair and the doors are not wheelchair friendly .
I found the place clean . The bathroom was very spacious .

United KingdomThere was a lack of equipment in the kitchen. No corkscrew, 2 wine glasses but no other glassware ie tumblers. Limited crockery so needed to wash before next use. No washing up liquid so had to buy some. Not the end of the world but would have been good to have these basics.
Lovely old mill which has been converted into modern apartments. Good location and our view was looking over the river.

United KingdomThe lift at one end of the building was out of order for our stay, thankfully there was a 2nd lift we could use but we didn't realise that until 2 days in to our stay. We had a bath leak, which we reported, but the agency didn't do anything about.
Nice location by the canal. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were super comfortable. It was great to have a place with a separate shower and bath too. Clean and comfortable and a.good size.

South AfricaWi-Fi is useless and kept going off. It was impossible to work in the flat. Also impossible to watch Netflix for more than 40 mins at the time. At some point I had to buy my own Wi-Fi and that too did not work very well.

Someone had parked on my allocated spot but the guest management staff did not respond to my problem but just kekt asking me ti contact parking enforcement team via email. I left messages and email but no timely response.

United KingdomI am not happy with the host as i am now 4 weeks later and still waiting for £100 holding deposit which was taken. After several calls and emails, they are still looking into this. All evidence was provided the day i checked in.
Keys to the property were located in an outside box. It should have had a parking permit as well however this was missing and reported on the day

United KingdomStaff didn’t inform me about an extra £100 is to be paid before you get any information about what flat number, so once I finally got through to someone who could tell me how to get in she then informed me of a £100 fee for damages which does get refunded but it would have been nice to know about this prior to the stay. I found booking . Com an absolute disaster to get hold of they actually ended up blocking my number, and after two hours of trying to get through to Belvilla we got the information about paying this £100 ABSOLUTE JOKE !!
Very clean and the apartment was beautiful however so hard to find as I didn’t have an exact address spent two hours finding it

United KingdomOur booking was cancelled and we weren’t informed by either Sojo stay or booking.com. We were told it had been cancelled as we were trying to get the access information ON THE DAY we were supposed to be staying there. Lots of being on hold & no apartment to stay in. Sojo stay were unapologetic and didn’t find us an alternative apartment, we had to rebook through booking.com and the whole thing took 3 hours out of our weekend away!
