Thank you Nigel for a great moment in Cornwell. You are one of the best host we ever spend a night. Great house, great room, great breakfast, great person and entertainer you are. Best regards - Dirk + Janna (from Germany).

Parking can be a bit problematic if there a few guests wanting to use the forecourt but there is ample space on the road outside the property so I would suggest making the forecourt for disabled and elderly travellers only to prevent discomfort and disappointment. The plumbing from rooms above is quite loud so you have to pray for neighbours with strong bladders for an unidisturbed sleep.

Nigel (the host) was very friendly and helpful, we were made to feel most welcome and I'm sure we will be again as no doubt we shall return. Rooms were adequate size and suites are luxury standard, all kitted out with modern requiements like big TVs and Wi-Fi access. Cold cider in the fridge was a lovely complimentary touch.

    Not much.

Most of all, we loved the personality and generosity of the owner, Nigel Orchard. He is a real gem, with a delightfully mischievous disposition and sense of humor. But the Orchard Manor is about more than personality. It's about the quality of the rooms, including those in the charming original building and those in the very smart, very well acquitted, spotlessly clean and modern collection of new suites in the recently built addition. Breakfasts are cooked by Nigel with care and a smile and a piece of advice (if you ask) about which sites and towns are worth a look in Cornwall. Given its location midway between Penzance/Lands End and the eastern border of Cornwall, between St Ives to the north and Falmouth to the south and its proximity to the charming towns of Truro 5 miles to the west and St Austel 8 miles to the east (AND to the Eden project), it is an ideal location from which to make day trips out to all parts of Cornwall. We stayed there on a Saturday night, went on to a disappointing property in St Ives on Sunday night and moved back to the Orchard Manor on a Monday night. My partner and I would go back in a heartbeat. All things considered, excellent value.

Absolutely no criticism at all. Added bonus to the fabulous accommodation was the cheerful, chatty proprietor, Nigel!

Breakfast was awesome with a choice of anything you wanted..full English, kippers, porridge, cereals, etc. Delicious!

Not a moan, but for the price would have been nice to have had breakfast included.

Lovely friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Even assisted my elderly mum with the loan of a mobility scooter so we could go out and about locally.

Dated furnishings. Expensive for what it was. (couldn't stay in our other choice of B&B which was £30 cheaper including breakfast)

Comfortable bed and very clean room. Friendly helpful owner.

Kind & thoughtful staff who went out of their way to take care of us throughout our brief stay - and particularly when we arrived (unavoidably) very late in the evening.

Out of all of our bookings through Booking.com ,this was the most expensive and was the most disappointing, the room is supposed to be a double but really should have been a single, there was barely any room when 2 people were trying to move around.

Nothing, the name of this accommodation is very misleading, Orchard Manor would suggest surely an orchard but sadly it was conspicuous by it's absence.

The room sizes were good. The staff/owner was very courteous and helpful. The property is at a very quiet location.
