Evening meal on the whole good but fillet of seabass very dissatisfied with only one fillet for the price was like a starter. fondant potato hard not much else on the plate, breakfast good but quality of sausage was not, it was like a cheap supermarket sausage which let the rest of the breakfast down. Shower was very weak in the flow. Cobwebs in the room. Dead flies/beatles behind bathroom door. Spiders in corner by toilet, housekeeping needs to be checked. A mini fridge would be nice and another chair in the room so found overpriced for what you get you at least expect the room to be clean. No extractor fan in bathroom.

I just felt when paying £190 for room only that the spa at the hotel should have been included. It was £30 charge minimum just to use the sauna & steam room for two hours.

Lovely location & appealing place to stay. Great area for sitting outside for food &/or drinks. Rooms were good & had a great nights sleep. We loved the look of the hotel and the outside areas were very good.

Booking.com site lacked information about any meals included in our booking, very disappointed that not even breakfast was included. Dining areas would benefit from refurb, they lack warmth and comfort

There was a wedding party in and the shower was cold on the Saturday morning.

A shame the Spa is not open and the cost for a two night stay room only was expensive for the accommodation. No children’s menu on offer at all, which was very limiting for food choice for an 8 year old.

Plumbing in the suite was beginning to show it's age as were the creaking doors. WiFi is not good with very limited bandwidth. This is especially imported considering the poor mobile reception. No destination charger for EVs

Very dog friendly with comfortable and well appointed rooms. Food is of a very high standard and dining room service is very good. The bar is comfortable and well stocked although lacking real ale or any of the numerous craft beers.

The steaks on Dinner menu one was overcooked and not generally that nice. My partner left half of hers.but the.breakfast the.following day was brilliant.

Our room could do with a little up date , it’s looking a bit tired but maybe it was because it we had our little dog?..…I requested a large bed, but it was two pushed together, would have preferred a king size…

Signage at entrance there is only one sign you miss it if you travel from one direction. No lights on down the drive at night? Curtains hanging off in room? Curtain in dining area hanging minus two hooks which spoils the look. We were in a disabled persons room and the arm support near toilet was loose and always in the way. I had to secure it with a loo roll. Toilet seat was loose and moved all the time. Coming back from a day out to find the place all locked up at ten o'clock.

Day one breakfast was lovely except it was cold. Day two much improved. Ingredients were lovely.
