Use a better taxi service on return to train station cab driver not friendly and taxi inside didn’t look that clean. Also cost £5 more than the taxi we had on arrival from Oxford Station

Brilliant hotel loved the spa and pool . Breakfast amazing so much choice. Room perfect and such comfortable beds and pillows

Everything was excellent, but it is a 20-25 minute walk to the city centre.

It seemed to be very new and pristine and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, with lots of choice and they catered well for my gluten and dairy intolerances. There’s also a large bar area, great for a nightcap.

    Nothing.

All staff were welcoming and friendly from receception, restaurant/bar, cleaners, leisure centre staff. All would greet when saw you. Kashish and Claire at reception were exceptional and sorted our minor problem out and were very informative and knowledgable of the area, an asset to the hotel. The room was lovely with a gorgeous view of the fields with the horses ducks and geese. Bed was very comfy. A special mention to Vina for keeping our room spotless. Breakfast was one of the best I've had for a buffet style breakfast. Plenty of it and kept fresh. Staff constantly checking and keeping tidy. Location is perfect being in a country like setting yet on about a 15 minute walk along river thames or by road if prefer into the city centre. Oxford is a lovely city. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel if returned to Oxford.

Service was excellent, location is good, the room we had was slightly tired.

The rooms are a little tired, with the carpet in our room showing holes where previous fittings were. The room was large beyond need but the bathroom was poorly laid out with the world's tiniest shower, which had ill-fitting doors and an overhead shower head that dropped even when not selected. Soundproofing, we could hear conversation and singing children even when other visitors were in their rooms.

The location was good, near the city and a nice walk along the river past all the famous rowing crew clubhouses. The staff were amazing, and super helpful at all times with all requests to fulfilled. Our room was at the back of the building with no traffic noise or environmental noise.

Only minor issue was that room service number was unavailable and when reception transferred no- one answered.

Excellent location easy to walk into centre. Breakfast quality and choice was first class.

This was my first visit to The Spires, and it exceeded my expectations - loved the stylish decor and my room was spacious with a great rain shower and a fabulous comfortable huge bed! A bonus is the relaxed bar and the Spa and Pool that are included in the tariff - I will definitely return!

Although it is great to be able to leave the car and stroll along the river into Oxford the increase in cost is too much. As we are already paying a relatively high price for the hotel I can't see why the parking charge has to be so high. There is nothing additional offered so £15 should be sufficient. The bedroom was smart and comfortable but the bathroom was a little tired. Noise of the central heating irritating. So we switched it off.

We love the location and relaxing lobby to enjoy in the evening as well as the outside seating space in fine weather. Breakfast is excellent and this time as it was quieter really relaxing. Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Nothing really - just personal observation- Pillows not soft enough. Dressing gowns very small! There was a very large company group booked in and despite being told their food was a pre prepared buffet; our meal still took 35 minutes to come out and we had to eat in 5 minutes before taxi arrived for theatre. Partly our fault for maybe not allowing slightly longer but did not expect it to take so long.

    Facilities. Nice decoration.

Terrible wifi! :) we usually try to come just to rest so it’s not always an issue, but sometimes we need to do some work and wifi could be better.

We always stay here when we come up to Oxford. Lovely food and music, delicious infused water, and absolutely fantastic spa. All the treatments are spectacular.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The breakfast buffet was very good. It was well presented and good quality. We were not so keen on the coffee from the machine as it was barely warm and not hot. All the Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were helped with booking Taxi pick ups.
