Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room is not as spacious as shown in the picture. We booked a family room with bulk bed. But bulk bed is in another very small room which is very warm.
The hotel receptionist is very nice. Location is good for taking Snowdon Mountain Railway and all other local attractions. Staff also allow us park our car at the hotel until late on the check out day.

Only issue we had was that the room was so warm we couldn’t sleep. Fan in room which didn’t work
Lovely location to climb Snowdon. Rooms were clean & the dog welcome pack was lovely! Staff were friendly & so helpful & great with our little dog!

We like the property but find price a bit beyond our price range . We did it as a one off only . Will not book it as a regular basis. For that price , we would have expected for breakfast to be included but UTs not so we’d rather drive to Pothmadog and have Costa instead - haha. But UTs not so we’d big deal.
The property is in good location and by the river/ lake . Got nice restaurant’s nearby and good place for a walk and stroll

The rooms are a little dated. But it was comfortable and was good for what we needed.
The staff and location were excellent. Good base for hiking Snowdon. The hotel restaurant serves a good breakfast and lunch. They are dog friendly as well.

It was unusually warm whilst we were there and even though they had already put a fan in the room and we could leave the window open… the duvet was a very warm one
The room we had was a large room that accommodated all our travel and hiking equipment. The hotel is well located just a short walk from the bottom of the Llanberris path up Snowden ( or the train station), so great spot

For disable people in wheelchairs, the hotel didn’t have a lift or wheelchair accessible entrance, but with older buildings this is common as it’s not feasible to fit lifts and ramps.
Rustic feel and decor, bright breakfast room and cosy dinning room. A nice separation between the attached sports bar and the hotel itself with its own bar. Nice beer garden with great view of the valley. Walking distance to the lake and kids playground

The mattress was a bit too stiff and I’d prefer blackout curtains.
Fantastic location, clean rooms with a lovely shower. The downstairs restaurant could not have been better. Great options, good portions, delicious food and friendly staff.

Need drinking water in bathroom to make tea. Very difficult to fill using bathroom. Also sink in room 419 was blocked and water sat in the sink for a while.
Breakfast was great, good options for all dietary needs. Location was good
