The road outside the Guest House was very busy and because of the age of the Victorian building, the sound proofing was non existent. Also being centrally located in Llandovery, there was some noise from revellers during the Friday and Saturday evenings we stayed there. From a personal point of view, the curtains would benefit from black out linings.

The best quality Welsh breakfast of our trip around Wales, tasty ingredients beautifully prepared and served. Unexpected bonus of complimentary tea and coffee in the Tea Shop during their opening hours - a lovely touch and did encourage us to purchase one of their delicious homemade cakes to go with the tea and coffee! Rooms felt very clean and well prepared with lovely crisp bed linen and very nicely decorated. Off road parking available at rear of the guest house. Owners very attentive and helpful.

The glugging noise of the drains in the bathroom which woke us up at 5 in the morning were terrible. Floorboards were so creaky too. Hardly any electric sockets in our room. Owner told us not to make too much noise because others were staying there, which we would always be mindful of. We had not even gone into our room when he said that, which we felt was not very welcoming! We were leaving early so they had left us a ‘continental’ breakfast which were left on a coffee table downstairs. Eating cereal on a coffe table, not ideal. The owner ‘does not’ wake up to make early breakfast for his paying customers.

    It was very clean!

Room was on the road so a little noisy - no double glazing but nothing too bad. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable and the room was cold. No shower only bath which is a bit unusual these days.

The room was right on the main street without double glazing so very noisy and a little cold. There was not enough space to put toiletries and other items - more shelves, cupboards necessary.

The host was welcoming, chatty and friendly. The shower was excellent. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were available in the room and fresh milk too. Breakfast was very tasty and filling.

The room was a lot smaller than you’d expect for the price and could’ve done with a clean.

Ideal location: 8mins walk from the train station. I fell in love with the EXTRA comfy bed! Big shower, just as I like it. Was happy to have the room supplied with everything needed to make as many teas as I please :) Allan & Lynne have been wonderful, cheerful hosts, always there to help (with iron, adaptor, recommendations for a walk, etc), with a smile on their face and making my stay feel like I was at some friends' house. The girls at the bar have also been super nice and really appreciated their prompt help in calling a taxi on the spot when I was in a massive rush. Thank you for your hospitality and great service!

Due to it being an old listed building (category 2 I think) there were a few squeaky floorboards and our door had to be locked shut as the latch didn't work, but nothing too bad and it was still a fantastic stay.

The staff & owners were absolutely lovely. Extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Breakfast portions were huge and there was enough variety to satisfy all but the fussiest eaters. The building and village were nice, barely saw a frown from the locals. The village has a decent sized Co-op which was open until 10pm most days, there were a few very nice pubs & restaurants which were very welcoming. Only found one pub that seemed to be a 'locals only' place, but they were still civil enough.

Very friendly landlady. She offered complementary tea/coffee/choc drinks in the cafe which was excellent and a lovely gesture. I can recommend the Marsaccino, just out of this world! The water for washing was cold in the evenings. The TV was high up on the wall, which was awkward to watch. The double room was quite cramped for 2 people and there were too few coathangers for 2 people. There wasn't much space in the bathroom to put wash kits etc. - a shelf under the mirror would have been useful to put our toothbrushes etc. on. The code for WIFI wasn't easily available and we had to contact the proprietor late in the evening to find it out. In the bedroom with a bath, there was no shower curtain, so it was very difficult not to spill water on the floor whilst having a shower.

The breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and well prepared. The location was very good - in the town centre - and there was a car park right behind the guest house. There was a good choice of teas, coffees, biscuits etc. in the bedroom, which were replenished daily. The bedrooms were very quiet at night, so we were able to get a good night's sleep.
