Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Though everything was fine, the bed mattress was probably too old as I could feel each spring. The carpet and the rug were quite old (colour faded). On the website it said that toiletaries were provided and that was true, but they were half used bottles of shampoo and conditioner, which was not what was expected. If these points are improved I would definitely give top marks for everything.
Easy to get the key and get into the room once I found out how. Central location in Canterbury city centre which was very convienient. Canterbury city centre is notorious for poor phone coverage so I used the wi-fi of the property which worked very well. The room was clean and quiet. It had a kettle, tea and coffee which was great. The electric shower was very good. I felt safe as a female lone traveller staying at this place.

The check-out instructions were unclear. I wasn't sure whether to leave the key inside the room or somewhere else. They give you one key that opens both the front door and your room, so, although I might be wrong, I was under the impression that other guests could perhaps open my room's door. My reservation indicated that my room had a bath, but it had only a shower. I wasn't planning to use it, though, but I noticed that the room didn't match the reservation details.
I managed to enter my room before the check-in hour. The room was very silent. Has available sockets close to the bed.

Bed a bit soft for my liking.
Superb, centrally located accommodation in historic Canterbury. Lots of character in the period building. Being able to walk everywhere makes you feel like a local!

Check in was a bit of an ordeal, I didn’t realise no-one was on site and was not given the passcode to retrieve entry key or room number prior to my arrival. My eSIM was not yet activated so I needed to use the neighbours phone to call property management for details. Not cool after a VERY long day of travel. I’d traveled from a hot climate and there was no spare / extra blankets. Other than those issues I enjoyed my stay.
The room was clean, suitable for one person and the location is excellent. Central to the whole city.

Radiator and towel rack didn't work, poor soundproofing (could hear coughing and talking from an adjacent room (due to the old building I guess)
Host was wonderful; he promptly answered any queries and offered an electric heater when the radiator in the room didn't work. Liked the location as well, easy to walk around the main spots

Think the room could seem a little small for a couple but it really wasn't an issue as a solo traveller!
Great location and everything that I needed. Bed was clean and comfortable. The host was super helpful. Also, it was surprisingly quiet despite being in the centre of town.

Not much really just small things. Maybe another towel in the single room, alittle more attention to the cleaning (change bin, clean shower) but all in all it was great.
The location was amazing! Right in the city centre. The room is basic but had everything you need. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Great heating and easy to get cool. Honestly! For the cost it’s amazing!
