Busy, bustling pub with great food and yet rooms were quiet little sanctuaries in the middle of the city. Decor was right up my alley and the venue was located within walking distance of almost everything I would need in the city centre

The room was lovely! Extremely comfortable bed and appreciated the Dyson fan that was provided. Modern and clean bathroom. Perfect for our stay and definitely will be back!

The room was really hot, and with the safety lock on the window, you can only open it a few inches. I'm sure it would be fine on a cooler day/night. We didn't try the Welsh cakes as a bite had been taken out of one of them, so maybe house keeping need to ensure they are replacing them every day.

Easy check-in, check out, and night access. Slight misunderstanding re room allocated. However, this was quickly corrected by Izzy and the manager - thank you both so much. It was a very warm day, and the fan in the room was being temperamental, but again, this was quickly sorted. Thank you again Izzy-you are an asset to The Pontcanna! We stayed in room 1, which was at the back of the building, so it was quiet. Beautifully decorated and clean throughout. Snack box in room which a pre payment is taken for. Although we didn't use it, it's a nice touch. Coffees, teas, welsh cakes, big shower, towels, and toiletries provided, also a handy small fridge. Sanitary items also available on request if needed. Really comfy bed, thick curtains, and comfy sofa. Walking distance to train station, shops, pubs, park and castle. Lovely staff, would stay again and make time to try the pub out as it looked really nice. Overall,I feel like The Pontcanna really understand what you need when you stay somewhere. Thank you!

Such a welcoming team, we were there for the Oasis gig on opening night and the team really went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay!

Parking nearby in Sophia gardens was advertised as free but due to the events going on cost £24 for 24 hours.

Fantastic welcoming and helpful staff. The Pontcanna Inn is in an excellent location for the center of Cardiff , the castle and stadium. The room was modern large and quiet and the ensuite was clean and spacious. The room had recently been redecorated and was furnished to a high standard. We had a Welsh breakfast which was plentful well cooked and a reasonable price.
