The room was attractively presented and immaculately clean. The breakfast and dinner menus were comprehensive and both meals I had there were excellent.

Trivial maybe, but the blue neon light on the mirror above the sink was so bright it made getting to sleep difficult and couldn’t switch off

Loved my little room and how friendly and kind the staff was. Had lunch, dinner and breakfast and all the food was excellent. They even allowed me to leave my baggage in my room to walk the path. Best stop on my coastal walk!

Room was on the top floor with narrow staircase so not easy to navigate with bags and the dog It was also quite a small room if you had a dog with you- fine for one night with a small dog but if you had more luggage and a big dog space would have been tight

A lovely stay on my South West Coast Path journey. In fact this place was probably the only nice thing about this tiny little town 😅 wonderful and helpful staff, great food both for dinner and breakfast and a really welcoming vibe overall

We received a very warm welcome at this family run hotel. A safe place to store our bikes was no problem . As it was a Sunday and their kitchen was not serving food they allowed us to bring back our delicious Chinese takeaway and eat it with plates and cutlery supplied by the hotel. The atmosphere in the bar that evening was convivial and added to our trip. Breakfast next morning was first class with an abundance of local produce.

Whilst advertising itself as dog friendly we were told that we could eat in the bar area as the restaurant did not allow dogs. Unfortunately the bar area was absolutely packed so we had to eat elsewhere. With the way the restaurant is laid out it should be possible to have a small area that allows dogs with their owners
