There wasn't anything that I didnt like.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. No air con in the room but did have a big fan which was sufficient in keeping the room cool, and they were also providing jugs of iced water to keep you cool. Bar/reaturant served great food, breakfast was well worth the money, such variety. Overall we had a great stay.

The fact it was the middle of summer and the room had no A/C only a little fan that didn't rotate & blew in one direction. Stayed two nights and cleaners left one towel for two people, soon fixed by reception staff.

Very pleasant staff. Located great for us as our son lives right nearby and walkable into town too. Parking at £4 a day good. Price good compared to some others in town.

We went to get dinner at 2 minutes past 9 and was told the restaurant was closed. We then had to go into town in search of something to eat with a child. Think that it was unusual that a restaurant would close so early.

Very noisy footfall from the rooms above. We could hear every footstep from guests staying on second floor in the early hours of the morning which wasn't great especially with children. Also the toilet wasn't cleaned for the two days we were there. Also there wasn't any heating on in the stairways.

My partner and I always book premier inn because you get a large bed like the one we have at home. However I was disappointed to find a standard double which meant our nights sleep was not overly comfortable. Also there was only one large towel in the room which seemed odd as their were 2 people staying in the room.

I did not like paying 4 pounds sterling per day to park especially when the parking lot was mostly empty! Not a lot to do in the immediate area. No phone connection in room to the reception desk, had to walk down to the lobby to ask for anything.

Free breakfast was good, although they don't seem to know how to cook bacon properly. They also are not able to make an omelet with proper filling. The location is nice, not a whole lot to do in the immediate area. But it is a good city if you would like to travel to York or Scotland which is what we used it for. Also close to Hadrian's wall sites. The bed and room were clean and housekeeping was good.

The staff on reception. John is brilliant. You can come in after a few to many and be loud but they kindly tell you to keep it down for respect of other visitors but yet they have a good laugh with you and let you stay at the hotel bar for as long as may be.
