Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LuxembourgQuality of the apartment entrance door and the lock on that door; on the sofa bed you can feel the springs.
Great location: quiet street but very close to busy area. The apartment is big, there is enough space in the bathroom, the kitchen is nice with new appliances. Main bed is comfortable.

ThailandThe living area/bedroom is quite small. The bed can be folded into the wall, but even then, not more than 3 or 4 people can comfortably sit there. But the location makes up for this minor inconvenience. Unfortunately, we had a very noisy neighbor above us for the final two nights of our stay. To the credit of the apartment administrators, they acted on our complaint and requested the neighbor to keep the noise down. The request was somewhat effective -- instead of making noise from 4 a.m., as they did the first night, they started at 5 a.m. the second night, a bit of an improvement. As we were leaving that morning, we did not follow up, but given how they responded to our initial complaint, we feel the administrators probably would've given this additional attention had we requested it.
The apartment's location is top notch. It has several good restaurants and shopping areas just steps away, is within walking distance of many of London's best sites, and for more distant trips, the Underground is 3 minutes' walk away. The kitchen is large and well-stocked with appliances and utensils. Although the adjacent lane is very busy at times, the apartment's double-pane windows mean the noise is adequately dampened and does not reach inside the apartment to any great extent.

KuwaitEverything was wonderful, but the bathroom sink faucet isn’t a true ‘mixer’ and the washer/dryer combo doesn’t fully dry the laundry. That said, a drying rack was provided and it all worked out.
Location! Location! Location! A wonderful little home away from home with all amenities provided for a comfortable stay in central London! Very quiet pedestrian street, only minutes away from the best array of dining and shopping venues. Hosts were very accessible and accommodating.

AustraliaNo elevator but knew this in advanced. The location is worth the hassle of carting luggage upstairs. Stairs concrete and bland. Purely an aesthetic issue. Bathroom grouting grubby, but not disgusting. Some of the edging for veneer in cupboards falling off. No inconvenience for staying though. No response from an early (10 months before stay) request for a level one room. Was emailed saying someone would contact me but they never did. A request in the week prior to stay ensured we had a level 2 and not level 3 room.
Best location we have stayed in from 6 trips to London. Just brilliant. Close to shops, busses, tube & food options. Old apartment block but renovated. Above restaurant. No noise issue as street below is a pedestrian walkway. Felt secure. Code initially given for communal door. Clear instructions on collecting apartment keys from lock box in hall way. Provided with 2 sets of keys, so husband & I could come & go separately when required. Clear communication close to arrival. Welcome pack (nibbles & drinks) greatly appreciated. Thanks. Would definitely stay again.

BahrainIt's not a service apartment and the cleaning is done once a week. Construction work was done in the attached building and was noisy every day in the morning (except for weekends). No lift in the building that i have stayed in and slightly narrow staircase which makes it hard to carry the suitcases. The check out process was confusing a bit as they have indicated that someone will be there at 11 am to clean the room for the next guest , nobody came at that time and i have unfortunately locked the main entrance door for the building while one of my luggage were inside the building and i didn't have the keys. They charged me GBP 50 just to send someone to open the door.
Great location as you are few steps from Selfridges and Bond Station. The apartment is clean and the size is acceptable for two person. The staff are reachable by phone and they are very friendly and helpful. The check in process was smooth and was clearly explained by their staff in their emails and notes.

United KingdomThere was really nothing we didn't like but just a few minor observations to make for the benefit of others. Stairs are quite steep and narrow, with no lift, so if you have a lot of heavy luggage this could be quite a struggle. The main front door locks itself as you go out - as I discovered too late on the first morning ! :-( So just remember to keep a key on you at all times. I had a little difficulty getting the heating settings right but then again that's partly due to the fact that the British weather is so changeable. A very simple microwave would have come in handy, for simplicity and convenience, as the oven was a little complicated to figure out. Although there is a complete dossier of appliance instruction, it might be handy to have a simple summary of the essentials, from a more practical point of vie, especially for the oven. However I would stress that none of these are really negative. The apartment was great !
The location is absolutely perfect for a central London base. Masses of cafes, bars and restaurants literally on your doorstep with Oxford Street and Bond Street tube station just a couple of minutes walk away. You can take the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow and in 45 minutes you're at the apartment ! The kitchen is amazingly well equipped with absolutely everything you might need, including many modern, Neff-style appliances such as micro-wave assisted oven, washing machine (and maybe drier) and dishwasher. The only thing missing was an oven glove and a scourer ! :-) One very nice, yet simple, touch was that the hosts had provided a few essentials, such as milk, water, orange juice and few small packs of cookies, which were very welcome and made settling in that much more convenient. Everything was well organised and communication was top notch ! Overall the apartment was very much to our liking and exactly as depicted on the web and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to be in the heart of the West End of London.

IsraelBeing central, there was some noise (restaurants, not traffic), but noise from the restaurants was not too bad and ceased after 10.30 pm, and mornings were quiet. One point was that replies to queries to the apartment management by messages were usually received the next day. However, there was a phone no. available for immediate response.
The studio was very well arranged with all the amenities needed: well equipped kitchen, well lit, bathroom convenient, and the room was also nicely designed and nice to stay in. Having a foldaway bed increased the available space. The bed was comfortable. The location was very central, with good access to public transportation. Getting the key was well explained and easy.

BermudaWhile the place was clean, the large amount of dust on kitchen clock and half eaten bags of chips in the welcome bag was a bit disturbing. Bathroom shampoo/conditioner/soap had broken safety seal on them - not a big deal but also not great. Mattresses was very think and so not comfortable and there was a lot of night:early morning noise (garbage trucks?). Yet, these are fixable things and we’d stay here again.
Loved the location and the set up of the space. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were a really nice touch. The management group didn’t respond to emails but were good at responding to phone call and dealing with small issue immediately and were very friendly.
