The apartment was exactly as shown and the location was spectacular! Steps away from the heart of the city and any bus stop needed. Almost everything was a 20 minute walk. The code entry was brilliant, we didn't have to hold onto a key. The staff were wonderful.

No leeway at all on entry - even by 15 minutes - which would have been helpful tbh. Office where you can leave luggage is a long way from apartment

Anti-social youth elements congregating at entrance could be addressed. Wear a eye mask for sleeping as bedroom gets light early in morning

Top floor with no lift. Absolute chore getting luggage to the top. You need a strong bodied man to carry it all… and even then it’s not easy.

The apartment is on the fourth floor with no lift, so be prepared to carry your luggage all the way up. It can be a bit tiring, especially with heavy bags.

The property is in a fantastic location, close to the Monument and Old Town—everything is just around the corner. The view of the castle from the property was amazing, and overall, we had a great stay.

Tv was not very responsive, wifi wasnt the best. We felt rushed during check out as there was a knock on the door at 11.am on the Sunday. I had checked and double checked with two agents over the phone that we were given a slightly extended checkout of 12pm and I was assured both times that I was. Yet this hadn't been communicated to the cleaner. There was very little communication about deposit either, £200 just vanished from my account with no email confirming it had been taken. Still to be returned... A bit disappointed with that, but overall was a fantastic experience and I would certainly be recommending to friends and work colleagues.

The location was perfect. The apartment its self was ideal for what we wanted. Everything was so easy and we had much more privacy than a hotel would have offered.

It was complicated to turn the cooktop on and then the front right one did not work at all. When I stacked the dishwasher after our first meal the large plates did not fit in the lower basket so I had to half empty it and then discovered that the plug in the kitchen sink does not seal.

Superb location and view of the castle, easy walking to Royal Mile and attractions. Great size apt, well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed and pillows.

There were a couple of small things - the property next door was being refurbished and the workmen were re-felting a roof next to our bedrooms so there was quite a bit of noise first thing but it helped to wake us up for the day and when we came back to the apartment on the final night we no longer had a view of the castle as scaffolding had been erected around the doorway and covered our windows. Luckily we'd had 2 nights of great views already.

Having read the reviews knew to look for an entrance that wasn't huge. Basically a door between the Tesco Express (really handy for essentials) and the next property up. Easy instructions as to how to get into the property and the app was definitely worth downloading with all the info on it. We were on the 1st floor with great views of the castle but glad we only had to climb that one flight of stairs after a day of walking round Edinburgh. Couldn't have asked for a better location with Princes Street Gardens across the road and the castle and Haymarket within easy walking distance. Plenty of places to eat nearby. If you're staying on a Saturday morning make sure you visit the Farmers Market behind the castle, next to the NCP car park as they had some amazing food stalls but get there early as it was selling fast even at 9.30am.

There are no instructions as to how to use the washing machine/tumble dryer/dishwasher - so any environmental impact claims for the property disappear as we didn’t know how to put on a light load etc. Furthermore I wasted about 2 hours trying to get the dryer to work without putting the clothes through another wash. It required a combination of switches and the drying dial. When I contacted Destiny Scotland, - the property managers - they were very quick to respond but asked me if I had looked at the ‘drying dial’ which of course I had, but which did not work alone. They also sent in a maintenance person whilst we were out but a simple set of instructions in the flat for the lovely equipment would have saved us all time.

The location could not be better, with views of the castle, to boot. Princes St is the main shopping thoroughfare so it was really central and we were able to walk everywhere - to the castle, galleries, Holyrood. But had we wanted it there were trams and buses outside our door and behind us were the lovely Georgian squares of Newtown, with the river Leith walks 5 minutes walk away. We walked with 2 big suitcases 10 minutes from the station straight along Princes St to the apartment - so easy. Our return journey required us to just cross the road to an AirPort Express bus stop!! The apartment was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We cooked for ourselves and we had a Tesco supermarket downstairs!

We didn't realize it was a 4 story walk up. Tough for friends who packed a lot and unfortunate if you forget something.

Being close to historic Edinburgh. Having view of Castle from the common area. And the common area was excellent for 6 people. Room for more. Kitchen was good and having a washer/dryer was great.

No elevator but it was ok for us, we only had couple of suitcases. I think a couple of luggage racks would be nice.

We had a lot of room, kitchen was well stocked. Very clean, big bathroom. Location had a grocery store and bank right next door. We loved Rose Street just one block away with numerous bars and restaurants. Easy to get to from airport.

Can be a bit noisy as on a Main Street but I live on a main road at home so it didn’t bother me.

Fantastic location and views of the Castle. It was clean and spacious completed with high end furnishings and equipment. Close to transport routes, perfect as a base for exploring the city and relaxing after a long day of walking. We stayed in room 1 on the first floor. The staff were very quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Apartment is in a great location with everything you need in walking distance or easily accessible by public transport. Note that it is on a busy street, so expect some traffic noise if staying on the castle view side, but it does quieten down at night. It was also clean and well equipped with a comfy bed.
