To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomI think it's a waste of resources to change my towels if I'm only staying for two nights. I would have liked the option to opt out of that. There wasn't much space in the room, but a little table and a reading lamp by the bed would make it a lot more comfortable.
Staff were excellent, super friendly with everything. There was actually 24h reception with a person to talk to in case I needed something. Storing a bag after checking out was not a problem either. Messages before arrival were also answered quickly and problems solved swiftly.

United Kingdomthe walls are extremely thin so can hear people shagging screaming etc and also there was multiple signs saying no under 21s when their website very clearly states all guests need an adult over 18 nothing about 21. with that said there were no issues raised regarding the signs.

United KingdomThe whole stay was extremely comfortable and good value for money in a very convenient location right in the city centre, just a 5 minute walk from Liverpool Lime Street station and all main places of interests were within walking distance. Even though we were central and our room was on the side of a main road, we were impressed by the noise insulation. We were also very pleased with our breakfast - we had a very decent portion, lovingly cooked by the lovely, accommodating staff here. Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and more than happy to help with any queries. We would book here again if we came back to Liverpool!

United KingdomI would never stay in the no window room again - allocated G6 and it is literally a box with a bed and was right next to generator room, I would never have slept with that noise going on (the bathroom was bigger than the actual bedroom - immediately I went back to the reception and asked to be moved the guy was so lovely and friendly and moved us to 208 which is a gorgeous spacious room on top floor but worth the dragging suitcase up -
Location - great - staff very friendly - issue resolved straight away No lifts didnt have breakfast but facilities looked fab - waitress so friendly and nice - added bonus of being able to leave case until train time departure
