The button on my kettle didn't quite work, so had to hold it down to boil water.

Breakfast was really good. Staff were all really friendly. Rooms were a good size, and the shower was lovely - really large. Nice looking building too, and a short drive away from Ormskirk train station.

Wasn't a problem but my room had no view, the hotel is on the edge of an industrial estate, when taking drinks or sitting outside there is constant industrial noise, even at night.

Arrived at 9pm by the time I was checked in it was 906pm and was told they stopped serving food at 9pm. Was told they could make a sandwich if I wanted.

The bin wasn't emptied in the bathroom. Having someone else rubbish in the room made it feel un clean ! There was also an offer on at the time for Valentines Day meal which wasn't offered to us. We were then place at a table, the other another part of the restaurant out the way, which felt a bit off! Reception at the end didn't ask us how our stay was.. it was like pay and go ....

The meal was really nice. The pizza goat cheese and red onions was delicious 😋 massive good value for money! The bed was a comfy and lovely warm room.

LOCATION is horrendous and not as advertised.

The dining services were excellent as was the breakfast. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and went to assist us when I left my charger in the room.

Room a little dated , had issues with the window opening was broken and the duty manager had to come to open it for us . Room rate a little pricey for the accommodation and breakfast was extra .

The rooms were very basic and old looking. Had the rest of the hotel not been so nice I’d not choose to stay there again. The top cover on the bed had a stain on it, it looked like smeared makeup, maybe a broken blusher? I didn’t take any makeup with me as I was going for surgery the next day so I knew it hadn’t come from me. The tv was at an awkward angle, it was almost tilted ever so slightly upward, it could have done with being tilted forward a little more so that it was at a better angle when led on the bed.

The hotel was lovely, the bar and dining areas are really cosy. The staff were very friendly & helpful too. The food was really good. The bathroom was very clean and modern. The room was lovely and warm and it was easy to adjust the temperature on the radiator.
