Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBeing woke up on second morning by someone knocking door and ringing bell to door at Approx 9am when you don’t have to vacate until 11am. Our room was straight opposite lift so little noisy on second morning aswell. Didn’t ask to be moved as first morning was fine.
Location excellent - right in centre of Leicester Square

United KingdomTV was not working in the room but was swapped very quickly. However, the stand did not fit on the table so was left pointing away from where you would watch it. Had to move a unit of furniture to actually watch it. Based on the noise (overlooking Leicester square), some earplug would have been a nice touch!
Location was perfect for what we wanted. Staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble!

United KingdomWe stayed at the front of the hotel so as expected, there is considerable noise from the square into the early hours. Found out afterwards that reception have ear plugs on request but these would have been better in the room as I didn’t think to ask!
Fabulous location in the heart of Leicester Square, so well placed to get to everything we wanted to. Incredibly helpful staff who looked after us ( I was travelling with my 13yo son who is a wheelchair user) and were very accommodating to ensure we had enough space for his chair. Looked after our luggage whilst we shopped too. Room was spotlessly clean, well equipped and we loved the Nespresso machine & full size smeg fridge. Gorgeous toiletries and lots of fluffy towels in the bathroom too.

CanadaThe room was quite warm - the AC didn't work though to be fair we didn't call down to get it resolved as we only stayed one night. Our guess is it wasn't turned on yet for the season since it was early April. Windows didn't open so that wasn't an option. It was quite loud on a Saturday night, even with ear plugs in, but its a central London location so that's to be expected (we were facing into the square). Housekeeping knocked vigorously and for a long time at our door at about 830pm to see if we needed anything. Given I had just flown overseas and was already passed out asleep with jet lag, this was not ideal. My UK friend was still awake though and eventually went to the door in her pj's to tell them to leave. Maybe 830pm is not the time to knock on hotel room doors?? Only other funny/odd thing we found was everything in the room was askew....mirrors mounted to the walls at a slant, art hung crooked, shower wall hardware installed at a 25 degree angle. It in no way impacts anything but we did find it hilarious that everything was bolted to the walls crooked.
We were upgraded at check-in to a suite, likely due to the fact that they couldn't meet our request for a two room bed, which was a great solution. The suite gave us a king bed and a pull out bed which worked for us. The bathroom was large, with lots of large plush towels and a heated towel rack (one of my favorite things about the UK are those heated towel racks). The bed was comfortable as well. Everything was quiet clean. The hotel location was fantastic, with lots of restaurants, shopping and museums within minutes walk. Staff were friendly and they held our bags in a secure area after check out.

AustraliaAncient carpets that look very tired and feel dirty. Our windows stared directly across the office building, and we had to keep our shades down constantly. That was not very enjoyable.

United KingdomSlightly expensive but overall worth it!
The location of this property is the biggest feature! We came to watch a show and then go to London dungeons the next day and it was all within walking distance. Staff were attentive and friendly, and the room was clean, beds were incredibly comfortable.

United KingdomI was staying with my son and had specifically specified a twin room. However, because I'd booked via Booking.com, we had to make to with a king sized bed which wasn't ideal. No draught beer in the bar.

TurkeyEven though the quality of the breakfast is excellent, I think that there can be more choices for a five-star hotel. For example, in my opinion, there would be more cheese options. Also, the milk on the tables sometimes contains dust, therefore they can be serviced as closed.
The hotel location is the best! Transportation from Heathrow Airport to the hotel was so easy via Piccadilly Line. Moreover, you can go to many touristic areas by walking from the hotel. Furthermore, it was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable! Overall, my experience in the hotel was very nice.

Location is excellent, very quiet even though we were in Leicester Square but we were in a room at the back of the hotel. Didn't have breakfast as chose to eat elsewhere, however staff were excellent and the concierge was very knowledgeable, they even loaned us an umbrella as it was raining heavily on one of the days. The only comment I would make was that the TV wasn't in a very accessible position to watch in relation to the bed, but that's just a minor detail, would definitely stay again
