Our accommodation was fantastic - two separate bedrooms joined by a small hall area and bathroom in the middle. Both decorated to a high standard, very clean and comfortable beds.

Whilst not the end of the world , the television reception was dreadful and the bathroom is ready for a refit . Total invoice incorrect ( overcharged approx £90 ) which necessitated intervention by the manager who was brusque with no apology - needs addressing.

Location , character, food , mostly friendly staff.

Maybe the room we stayed in needed updating a little. When I booked our evening meal I asked to be seated in the restaurant area but we were seated in the small dining area with the fire.

Perfect location Homely surrounding in the hotel Fantastic views Fantastic that I could take my dog, he was made very welcome indeed.

A very comfortable 2 night stay at this wonderful location. Home from home. Log fires, very friendly staff and super relaxing. I have been visiting Burnsall for years but never stayed here before.always a place to gather for drinks or food before. I loved getting up and walking the river walk whilst drinking in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales . The church is well worth a visit for its history. I would definitely recommend. The room had uneven floors and a step up in to the bath/shower which some may struggle with although it had a hand rail. For me it added to the charm and age of the building I stayed in room 8 and the view was lovely

Some of the furniture and decor could do with an update. For example, the dining table chairs were very grubby.
