Cleaning cloths and products left outside room in corridor and not moved for 3 days.

Only issue with the bathroom, wanted a bath after a long hike and the plug wouldn’t work so it kept on draining, only worked if you kept your foot on it. Breakfast was quite cold the first day, wasn’t very enjoyable. Much better the second day, nice and hot and overall several good options. Food was generally very overpriced for what it was in the restaurant. I know it’s a tourist place but both myself and my partner felt it was very overpriced. (£19.50 for a standard portion of scampi and chips).

Very nice room, bed was super comfortable. Nice bathroom. Restaurant was decorated really nicely and staff were friendly.

Getting breakfast was a little disjointed, cereal down one set of stairs, cooked food at another counter, though they did offer table service for some things. View from our room was the car park😔

We enjoyed the stay generally. But would have preferred to have breakfast in the same building than having to cross the road.

The only thing I would change is the pillows. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were quite hard. I’ll take my own next time

Nothing. Our building was separate from the Wateredge Inn but we knew that in advance.it wasn't a problem to us.

The staff were approachable, friendly, explained instructions clearly for accessing the room & breakfast. Room was lovely, bigger than expected, tidy, clean, modern, with everything you might need. Breakfast was very good & tasty, with a choice of ordering from a breakfast menu or helping yourself to the breakfast buffet. The times for breakfast was between 7.30am and 9.30am which was ok for us. There is a lovely view of the lake from the bar/food area, enjoyed eating our breakfast looking outside. The location was ok, approx 10 min walk into Ambleside centre. Would definitely recommend.

Lack of security - our room was left unlocked by the housekeeper. Main door unlocked during the day so anyone could have accessed our bedroom. Very disappointed.

Breakfast is delicious with several choices from traditional English breakfast to yogurt and fruits. The bar provides decent food with a good water view. The room is also very clean and comfortable. Good prices.

The only thing I could say was on our last night the air con in the room seemed to stop working. This wasn’t a major thing, but after a long hike would have been nice.

The proper was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We were on the top floor and only noise we heard was doors closing, very minor. The bed was very comfy, and bathroom even better. A bath and shower more than big enough for myself, 6ft 2. The actual restaurant itself was okay, nothing outstanding but more than suitable. Views of the lake the major selling point.

I didn’t like having to pay £15 per night for a dog. We had 2 so it added £30 to the bill. The cost was not highlighted on Booking.com when I booked it.

Room was lovely and patio was great for the dogs. Breakfast was very nice and had a good set up.
