Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe beds should be modified The ensuit rooms should also have toilets in it. Males and females toilets should be separated
The staff, especially the Japanese guy at the reception. He was exceptional. The beds are so low, you are hitting your head on the one on top. You have a female ensuite room without a toilet in it. You have to share toilet with males

Netherlands2 p bunkbed at a 5m2 room. No place to put your clothes, no closet, or hooks or whatever. Bed was only 1.90 m long(I am 1.88). But if you are looking for a very basic place to crash it will do.
The lowest price in London. Busstop in front of the hotel is great, it takes you to big ben in 15 minutes, most other highlights in 30.

AustraliaBut it is cheap for a reason. We had a family room with shared bathroom. The room is small (which we knew), but it is very small. We had 2 bunk beds and with our bags in the middle, there was not much more space. No free towel and 5 pounds for one towel is rude. The bathroom could be cleaner, and you cannot change the temperature of the water: this is a press button which you have to press every 2 seconds for the water to keep going. No kettle or a microwave to make coffee or reheat some food onsite.
Location is great as there are bus and underground close that will get you where you want to go in London. It is cheap (for London)...

United KingdomNot a dislike, but it was very small and basic as to be expected from a hostel. Only space to walk into room and access one side of the double bed so would be no good if you had a lot of luggage or needed any storage / furniture other than a bed
Fairly central location not far from the tube, clean, all the staff we spoke to were really helpful

AustraliaThe owners jam pack every room. There's no space in the rooms for storage - not even under the beds. The bunks are generally 3 high so getting to the top bunk is a challenge. There is nowhere to cook - even thought there's plenty of space available to set up a kitchen. Many 'features' just don't exist - no laundry - it was being redone apparently but even so the space was miniscule. Showers are interesting - you push the button and get about 20 seconds worth of water - very frustrating. No quiet reading room - it was just locked for no obvious reason. Breakfasts were expensive and uninteresting on weekdays and on weekends were apparently better but again very expensive. Also there's no lift - well its there but not usable - either locked off or out of service - so if you are on the higher levels you're carrying luggage up more than 100 stairs! I
Staff are doing their best - they are very helpful and approachablle.

CanadaThere are no elevators, we had to carry our heavy luggages to what they call "3rd floor", but in reality it was 7th floor. It's way to noisy at night with young people drinking and shouting. Our room was way too small. We didn't even have room to have 2 suitcases open at the same time, we had to take turns in opening them and walking. Everything was at extra charge. Want towels? Pay extra. Want toiletries? Pay extra. Need a locker for luggage? Pay extra. But again, considering prices in London, I think you get what you pay for.
Amazing location, great staff, especially the kind Hide from Japan at reception. The interior design is pretty cool, has this awesome London vibe. My partner and I stayed in a separate room for just the two of us and we had our own bathroom, everything was pretty clean. Considering the prices of accommodation in London, you get what you pay for.
