Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDifficult to negotiate driveway. This is literally the only negative point about our stay.
Steve the host was very knowlegable and interesting to talk to about the history of the area. The tower has been converted to a very high standard and made for a very comfortable stay. It is very well equipped, there is literally everything you will need. If there was anything missing i am sure the hosts would go out of their way to make sure you're catered for. The bed was comfortable and bedding clean and fresh. The tower is in a beautiful location, situated at the side of a canal with a waterfall at the side of the building. There is a lovely walk along the canal straight from the garden, brilliant for walking the dog. There is an enclosed area accessed from patio doors where your dog can wander free.

AustraliaWith one room per floor there are a lot of stairs but I expected that. The driveway down is not for the faint hearted or big cars, but it added to the amazing atmosphere.
Wow! I have never stayed anywhere like this before. The most amazing location in a forest near a canal - historic buildings all around. Having one room on each floor was really cool. So well appointed and clean, friendly and helpful hosts. The walks in the forest were great, beautiful area.

United KingdomThe drive off the main road is a bit narrow and steep, but manageable.
The Tower is lovely. The owners have put a lot of thought and care into every detail. The rooms are compact but comfortable and have everything you would need for a short break away. It was helpful to have been left bread, milk and biscuits. The Nespresso machine was a nice surprise. It was lovely sitting out on the enclosed patio on arrival. There's good internet and a smart tv with a dvd player. The log burner was a treat, with plenty of logs available. There's easy access to beautiful woodlands and the canal. I'd recommend the 3 mile walk to Cromford Mills and 2 mile walk to High Peak Junction.

The property is in an absolutely stunning location. An absolute hidden gem in a tranquil setting that was perfect for our short break with the dogs. The property itself was spotless ; and whilst on the small side it has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay!

United KingdomMy husband and I stayed for a couple of nights for Valentines with our three small dogs. It’s hard sometimes to find a place that accepts dogs especially three! Some places that do accept dogs sacrifice quality and cleanliness but not Robin Hood Tower. It was beautifully furnished throughout, laminate in parts and lovely clean cream carpet/rugs, you wouldn’t even know dogs had stayed previously, everything was immaculately clean. The yard is enclosed and very dog friendly, one of our dogs is an escape artist and she wasn’t able to get out. Had a lovely rustic log burner smell when you walk in, the log burner itself was amazing, we’ve not used one like this before but it was easy to use and you can control the temperature - my husband now wants one at home! The bed was very comfortable and we slept in! The heating throughout is manual and very easy to use, we didn’t have any issues being cold, we were lovely and warm. Some reviews have mentioned the Tv being small, we are used to big Tvs, but I think anything bigger here would look out of place and the Tv was perfectly adequate, plus you have the views out of the patio doors. It is a smart so we were able to watch a movie in the evening on Netflix. The woods are private, you can walk along to The Family Tree for something to eat, or along the canal. The drive down is steep and narrow, we managed fine in an A3, after we’d driven down once and knew what to expect next time it wasn’t an issue. We really enjoyed our stay, everything was great! Elaine it was lovely to meet you x
