The heating could've been a bit higher in the evening and the television a bit more modern.

Everything went very well with good parking and the accommodation. The breakfast was very good and plenty of it. The shower room was very good with everything you'd need.

We loved the everything. Lovely hosts, comfortable beds, great breakfast. It was walking distance to cafes restaurants and some lovely walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to stay again

The Wi-Fi, in public spaces was excellent, but not available in our room. We did not mind using lovely lounge area when we needed to use our devices. (A desk would be a lovely addition to the lounge)

The loving treatment from the folks who took care us! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued friends dare I say family. Thanks to all who took care of us! Breakfast, brought to us by Johanna 🥰, was delicious, hot and filling! PS For fellow dog lovers - Our BFFF, Nat, was treated like a Prince and he really loved running up the stairs to our room. The sunroom provided a great space to clean him off, after a ramble, before bringing him into the house. This property is ideally suited for taking morning strolls into town and beyond!

There was nothing not to like. I've stayed here a few times.

Nice location with friendly staff. Plus I could park my car and not pay parking rates like everywhere you go in the Lake District.

Nothing - it was a perfect stay

The location was fab and the free parking despite it being central was very helpful. The beds were very comfy and cosy with great size rooms. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious - best scrambled eggs I've ever eaten! Thank you for a wonderful stay - we will definitely be back :)

WiFi didn’t reach our room but was good in the rest of the building and the shower water pressure wasn’t brilliant but no real biggie.

Nothing not to like absolutely brill.

Rothay garth is cute and cozy, Carol myself and Lexi our alsation were very comfortable in such a marvellous location. From meeting Sam then Joanna with her radiant friendly smile our stay was excellent. The Chefs breakfast is unbelievable. Couldn't fault our room/facilities. Thank you.

Disappointing that had to request new towels & cleaning of room only done on request. Also one of the young staff members at breakfast was very rude and she put a dampener on our breakfast on one of the mornings we were staying there.

Comfortable room with bath & shower over. Lovely breakfast with 4 choices all which were of a good quantity & quality. Accommodation was warm and positioned in the centre of Ambleside with plenty of car parking. Joanna gave exceptional service- nothing was too much trouble.

The staff were delightful. Especially at breakfast, which was delicious. The room was cosy with a very comfortable bed. The location is absolutely perfect for wandering into town. We loved it and would definitely recommend to other travellers.

Our room was a bit squeezy for two adults with luggage.

Property is in a convenient place in Ambleside. Close to walks,shops, cafes and restaurants. Lovely dining room, good breakfast and friendly service. Free parking a big plus. Great base for two nights.

I have nothing negative to report, except the approach to the main entrance was very poorly lit at night.

Within walking distance of the town and pubs. Also many close by walking/hiking trails. Very pleasant staff and a hearty breakfast. Free parking and good will-fi.

The decor was a little tired and dated. Cobwebs on ceilings in bedroom. The whole building inside and out needed a make over.
