Its a very dear shame that the lift does not work.

Disappointed that it was only a continental breakfast at the weekends.

Great location, the hotel is very run down and needs a lot of work,we stayed on the top floor and when it rained water came through the ceiling I think the staff know how bad it is they seemed embarrassed when we checked out,

No lift ...my sister really struggled with using the stairs. With hindsight we should have asked for a different room, but on booking in December requested room with a view. That was beautiful but could have been on lower floor, so don't blame the Hotel.

    Lovely breakfast😊

This hotel is desperately in need of renovation. It looks tatty from the outside and is tatty inside. Staircase was on an angle and cracks appearing in it. Went down for breakfast at 9.45 as breakfast was between 8-10 there wasn't any tea or coffee there so we asked for 2 coffees and were told no as they close the restaurant at 10 so she wouldn't give us one. Breakfast was cereal and toast. We were happy with the price we paid but that was all it was worth we definitely wouldn't pay any more than that.

The view from the room was lovely. Location was perfect. Lovely pub attached to hotel but unfortunately they didn't serve food.

The carpet was wet around the window as if it had been leaking in. The shower head was rusty. The condensation covered whole window. There was no cooked breakfast. There were huge pieces of rotten wood around the windows outside. The curtains looked like they had been put up about 100 years ago and never brought back down.

The room was clean and warm. The bed was comfortable

The breakfast was tiny and served on a tea plate and over and under cooked. We waitress in the morning was miserable and unaccomodating.

The hotel needs a major overhaul and redecorated. Building falling apart.

Shower area needs tidying up. A lamp and a power point on both sides of the bed would be an improvement.

WIFI was very poor. The room main lighting was very bright and we only had one bed side light which was very dim. Breakfast was poor, requested 2 eggs and bacon instead of full english. Only served one egg and one rasher of bacon. The server said only one available and was very rude and ignorant.

    Excellent location, good views.

We had leaking in our bathroom from the room above. The breakfast wasn't very nice. The decor really needs sorting. Lots of rotting. The door of our room had a huge gap at the bottom, letting in lots of light from the hallway. We found it really difficult to relax as the floor boards are really old. We could hear every movement from the floor above.

The staff were so lovely and the room was very warm. The location was great.

The shower thermostat was broken so couldn't turn the shower heat up or down, meaning a very quick shower as it was unbearably hot. The lady at breakfast was quite rude and took around 20 minutes to take our breakfast order - and also served other people before us even though we had been waiting around 20-30 minutes and they had only just sat down, this was on both days, we had to ask numerous times if we could order. The lift was out of order so members of the family staying on the top floors did struggle with the stairs every day.

Check in was very easy, I requested parking information from the hotel beforehand this was provided and was very easy to find, parking was £10.00 for 24hrs and only a 30 second walk from the hotel. The bar under the hotel was very convenient & had happy hour in the afternoons. Breakfast was lovely, had a selection of breads, cereals, yoghurts to help yourself and full English was ordered via a waitress. Our room was very spacious, and had everything we needed. housekeeping came around to top of coffees and teas and change towels. The location is perfect, very central.

All of the above. Except for the staff who were very nice.

The entire hotel is in a run down state. Could do with many thousands of pounds spending on improvement. The room was in a fair condition. Main bar was okay but mostly deserted. The breakfast was small and cold to luke warm. The staff were very nice.. great views from the front of the hotel. A very short walk to the lovely town with all there is to enjoy.
