This hotel is amazing!! We don’t have one bad thing to say about it. From the food, to the location & staff, 5* all around. Everyone was super helpful and friendly - especially Rosena. The freshly prepared food of an evening is very tasty, just what you need after a long day out & the breakfast was also top notch. Hotel is situated in a little village and close to lots of country walks.

Perfect! Great room, spotless, comfy bed, the best thing about it was the stunning view. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice, loved the coffee machine. Lots of attention to detail.... Staff attentive, Rezina was wonderful!!!! Will defiantly recommend this hotel.

Beautifully appointed rooms, spotlessly clean throughout. Exceptionally welcoming staff - thank you to Jason and the team for your hospitality. Breakfast was superb and the complimentary scones and hot drinks a welcome treat after a long day out on the hills. Good WiFi throughout the property and two EV charging points available in the car park. Already planning on when I can return!

There was nothing to dislike

Everything was perfect for my group. The beds were comfortable, the shower fantastic, everything was spotlessly clean. Mostly though, the staff was remarkable! We really appreciated Ryan, Elise, and Rezina. They made our stay well above average!

Everything! Location is great, the food and staff were amazing. The rooms are comfy and have be decorated really nicely. The perfect place to stay if you have dogs as they provide treats and a dinning space for your dogs to join you for dinner and breakfast. We will definitely return again.

Fabulous stay, food and staff very friendly. We loved the heated boot room so our boots and coats were dry for the day after. Perfect starting point for a hike, we did Eagle Crag, Sergeants Crag and Ullscarf one day and Grange Fell and Castle Crag the day after from the hotel.

There is an understandable no TV in the rooms policy, but maybe an Alexa or GOOGLE Dot, just to play some music on? I have tinnitus and the silence in the room was absolutely deafening, it would have been nice to play some music.

Stunning location close to Buttermere! Residents bar was very reasonably priced and the team are AMAZING, truly faultless. Welcoming, funny, sincere they were all an absolute credit to the business. Ryan, Rosina and Elise are amazing humans, and having run pubs and hotel for over 20 yrs myself, i wish that i had a team that worked as well! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was gorgeous and the best bed I have ever slept in. I had an excellent sleep. The staff were so so friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! We had 3 course meal and also breakfast was excellent. Very nice setup with the snug and games you can play like scrabble. 10/10 would highly recommend and will stay again. Excellent location also Seathwaite Scarfell Pike route.

What a lovely little place! I booked a single room as I was there with work. The rooms were very clean and very new looking and the breakfast room was lovely with the ability to take your dog in with you (with little carabiners to attach your dog lead). Often in many places, the dogs have to stay in a separate area or in your room. Breakfast was also great with a lot of choices of a cold counter plus hot food choices. Parking was good at the front and at the back, I'd definitely look to stay there again!

Beautiful location, so many amazing places to walk right on the door step. The staff were amazing, the food was incredible and the room was lovely. It was so dog friendly and they treat our little fur baby like a little princess, so much so she didn’t want to leave!

Less a "didn't like", more a "would have been helpful"; highchair in the restaurant and a few more essentials in the apartment kitchen - chopping board, tin opener, peeler, wooden spoon. Perhaps a toaster and frying pan too.

Lovely friendly staff who were all so willing to help. Incredible breakfast! Tea & coffee always available (plus scones in the afternoon). Very clean. Dog friendly.
