A few spiders that had been there a while, and it was an optional extra blanket in cupboard would be nice for people who feel cold more.

Security lighting is great when getting back late, no steps so better access. Ample parking.

The atmosphere in the pub was as expected for the age. The host and staff made us welcome even Harley the dog. Friendly locals, excellent food both for tea and breakfast. Thank you.

A mirror in the bathroom would be a very useful addition. I'd have appreciated an extra blanket, as the heating wasn't on and it felt quite chilly until I'd been in bed a little while. It was fine once I warmed up.

The bed was comfy and there was a good selection of hot drinks and biscuits available in the room. The location was perfect with plenty of parking, and the pub itself was full of character and friendly. There were 4 ales on hand pump and several alcohol-free options. I didn't realise breakfasts were offered, so it was a bonus to be offered a menu with a variety of options, allowing a budget breakfast if needed.

Wonderful welcome, warm, clean, spacious, amazing selection of hot drinks and biscuits, options for breakfast, lovely cosy pub on site , easy parking, separate building with just three rooms, big bath and bathroom with lots of really hot water and toiletries. Really good nights sleep

The room was clean with adequate facilities, but a mirror to shave with and a bedside table would have made it better.

Very friendly village pub with good food, generous portions and nice choice of beers. Hosts Mark and Olivia made me feel at home. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well.

Would have liked more accessible mirrors as the bathroom one was too low for me to use and the one in the bedroom was behind the tea making facilities.

Great location, room was large, clean and comfortable. Great biscuits. Location was very quiet and much nicer than i anticipated. Pub looked pleasant and the food overing looked very reasonably priced. Ended up extending stay for an extra day. Will be back next year.

Tv was very small so hard to watch. Shortage of mirrors in usable places one was begins the coffee stuff and the one in the bathroom was super low to not really useable.

Really nice and quiet location. Room was clean and large. Breakfast and food offerings looked great. I would definitely stay here again.

The bathroom isn't as new as the rest of the room but it was fine.

Great, friendly staff. The rooms are behind the pub, which is a genuine locals pub, who were friendly. Quiet area despite being close to a road. The beer on tap was cheap and varied. I ate dinner there and it was huge.

The bath was lovely and big, but prob needs replacing. But nothing else and deffo no complaints.

Loved the area, very quiet. Our room was amazing and so clean. Lovely posh biscuits 🤣. Had everything we needed for our one night stay. We both chose the steak, which was cooked to perfection (and I'm really fussy with steak). Breakfast was 😍 lovely. Best of all was meeting Harvey the gorgeous dog. Deffo stay here again, little hidden gem just a few miles off the motorway.

Nothing. If we'd stayed longer we'd have liked a couple of chairs and maybe a small table in the room as we always seem to have a lot of bits and pieces that end up on the floor. Ditto for a shelf or more space to put stuff on in the bathroom.

Just what we wanted - somewhere to spend a couple of nights while we visited relatives. Pleasant country pub run by a very hard-working couple, Mark and Olivia. Spacious room and proper bathroom. Reasonably quiet (it is a pub after all!) and quality food available at fair prices. Plenty of outdoor space too.

A mirror in the bathroom would have been helpful. The TV in the room was not tuned to any station and was effectively inoperable. Both these observations are minor and easy to rectify.

Lovely quiet rural location. Very pleasant friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly hope to stay here again during our next trip to this part of England.

Mark and Oliver was amazing, accomated all needs and nothing was to much trouble. Cannot forget the dog he was so friendly and was the star attraction .
