Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Turks & Caicos IslandsWeren’t able to offer an extra hour late check-out 11-12, despite not being able to access the room before 3pm the day before. This is despite me telling them my 8 year old son was jet-lagged and still asleep. Restaurant closed at 8.30, and refused to serve anything at 8.40. Breakfast was ok but no side plates or fruit juice.
Nice modern room. Lovely shower. Nice guy who welcomed us on arrival despite not being able to give us our room.

United KingdomThe curtains in our room were across the radiator when closed and blocked the heat so we had to fold them across the top.
Food and service were great. Handy parking at the hotel, good location to explore the town on foot.

United KingdomLittle details that could improve the customer experience in the restaurant such as cups and saucers, cruet sets replaced on tables. A quick wipe down to remove crumbs and food before the next customer.
The location was very good for visiting the area, a historic hotel with charm and decor. Breakfast provides a good selection of cooked, fruit and pastries. Excellent sized bedroom and bathroom. The restaurant decor.

AustraliaThe baby cot which was provided didn’t have a foam mattress so I found my baby sleeping on a hard board!!! I wasn’t impressed so I made do by adding the quilt which was on our bed to his cot which provided a level of cushion so he wasn’t sleeping on something so hard. The carpet looked really marked and dirty.. I gathered this was the “dog friendly” room that the hotel doesn’t mind getting dirty but I have a very clean little dog. If hygiene was the aim of having “dog friendly” rooms then ripping out yucky carpet is the best option and putting in floor boards would be much more inviting and easier to clean as well. I wasn’t completely happy allowing my baby to crawl around that carpet unfortunately :(
The staff were lovely, the car park was very useful. The interior was also nice and the breakfast area was lovely too! Very happy to be able to bring a long our dog too and the radio in the room was a really nice touch, felt a lot more welcoming than entering a quiet room :)

United KingdomHotel was fine and suited our purposes with family living in the town, so we really only used it as B&B. My advice is that if you get a parking slot, keep it!. There are relatively few for the size of the hotel, and once vacated, it might be tricky to park in the hotel grounds.
Breakfast was tasty, and staff were attentive. Quality of food was good.

United KingdomI would say the room for a double was a little small. A downside for us was the fact there were no alternatives to the pillows on the bed that were uncomfortable, I did ask housekeeping, and they advised they didn't have anything else to offer.
Staff very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we've eaten at a hotel for a long time. Our evening meal was excellent as well. If we were in the area again would definitely stay.
