The mattress was very uncomfortable as were the pillows. the carpets in the hallways were also very grotty and seatinf downstairs in the bar for breakfast was very uncomfortable.

Toilet on the floor below. No sink in the room. Bed a little small for me.

The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was catered for with permits cheap and cheerful. Value for money. I enjoyed my stay.

The stairs were quite steep and narrow - pretty much what I expected in an old building like this.

Sailors Return is an extremely popular local pub on the quayside at Weymouth. A very old building, so my top-floor room had sloping ceilings and all the character of an antique pub. Nice to have a drink in the bar downstairs - the bar was very busy but had a friendly atmosphere. Staff were friendly, made me feel welcome, and very helpful in arranging a parking permit (on the quayside near by) and getting my phone to work with the wifi. Though the bar was noisy and cheerful with snatches of song, this didn't penetrate to my top-floor room at all. The English Breakfast (in the bar, at any time to suit me from 6-30 till 10-30 if I recall correctly) was excellent.

Music in the evening... very loud in our room., but I was told about this, the kids weren't bothered by it and was finished by 11.30pm.

Guy who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Room was large great size for 2 kids and myself, lovely view of the harbour. Breakfast was amazing.

Breakfast great one staff member dealt with me very well. Keeley I think. Room was quiet. Jamie booked me in and gave me parking permit for the visit. Shown fire exit from Upper floors. Day bar staff looked after me. Met lovely local people. The evening bar staff Freya was lovely , there was folk music in one side of pub.

Tired room, mould in the bathroom, dirty carpet. A band was playing until midnight and our room was directly above the music, it was impossible to sleep. Our door lock was faulty and we were locked in our bedroom in the morning and had to use a teaspoon to wrench it open. The staff were dismissive and rude when we mentioned it the next morning. To be honest this was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

Run down room, no wardrobe so nowhere to hang suit and shirt. just generally needed a lick of paint. And never had to pay a deposit for door key before and I have stayed in many BB in the area.

Maybe for tall people it would not be very comfortable in the room we had but all of us did not have any problem with it so we managed anyway.

It was really nice. Worth it for the price, nice staff, lovely breakfast. We all really enjoyed the time in Sailors Return. We stayed one night, but I recommend it.
