Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe Broomhill complex wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing. It was noisy when anyone came in or out, the floors bounced in the corridor and it didn't really fit with the rest of the estate. It was comfortable though , but just maybe not what I was expecting.
The estate is set within beautiful grounds. The room within the Broomhill complex was clean and had a private bathroom with enclosed shower cubicle. Breakfast was included in my overnight price, I had the option of continental or full English. I chose full English which was served promptly and was of a good standard. Check in and out was easy and reception was available 24/7.

United KingdomMattress wasn't the most comfortable, and is only a 4'6" wide bed. Memory foam is cheap these days! No restaurant onsite in the evenings and no cooked breakfast available during our stay.
Very well equipped and spacious accommodation in a quiet location. Ample parking very close to the cottage. Good TV and facilities. Great bathroom with under floor heating. Everything was clean and tidy. Dog friendly with tiled flooring throughout and a nice walking area adjacent to the cottage. Good pubs nearby for food and drink. Historic house and gardens and close to attractions such as Hever Castle and Royal Tunbridge Wells.

United KingdomNeeded oven gloves, tea towels, washing up brush/cloths. The settee sofa bed was not really where expected....thought it would be in the lounge area but was in a side room off of the kitchen which was the walk through access to the master bedroom and there were no doors in the doorways to have any privacy so maybe OK for children. No mirror in the top double bedroom or bathroom except a shaving mirror or landscape mirror in hallway. Having the outside light already on would have been helpful when accessing the key safe. Coat rack and door mat inside the hall way would be useful.
Loved the house. Plenty of parking. Cleanliness was excellent. Bathrooms lovely.Kitchen equipment was extensive. The items left for breakfast were great(as kitchen was closed for the 1st morning). The served breakfast in the main building was tasty. The museum detailing the family who owned the property was very interesting. Gym was well equipped and the walks in the extensive grounds maintained. Staff all very polite and helpful. We loved our stay and would go back.

United KingdomThe evening meal was only adequate really, which was the only down side. We could have driven in to town, parked then found something there no doubt but it’s not very convenient to do.
Location was a lovely parkland with a mansion as the main common building for restaurant, bar, lounge, meeting rooms etc. The rooms are in modern blocks set higher up the hill from the main building.

DenmarkThe fact that the rooms are quite a bit away from the main building and the quality/design of the rooms!
Accomodation is detached from the main building - about 220 yards - and reminded me of how I imagine slightly upgraded (single occupancy) military Barack's would be!

United KingdomThe elderly and those that have mobility issues could find the steep slopes a challenge.
We enjoyed our stay in the extensive complex. Fantastic grounds and core hotel was an interesting Victorian building. The rooms were adequate, modern but fairly utilitarian. There were great views from our window. The dining was a bit scattered over several different rooms. After most visitors had left on Sunday morning, facilities and food options became limited.

United KingdomIt was dark and wet when i got to place at about 10:30. Had a little difficulty finding entrance to Bloomfield block. Mind you, I had just been to a wedding so was a little..ummm..tipsy.
It was only the one night as I was attending a wedding at the Warwick Park Hotel. Shame as breakfast location was best I have ever experienced.

CanadaThe building which had my room could be a little noisy with other guests moving around through the hallway but the supplied earplugs on the night side table did help.
Included breakfast was delicious with lots of options, a beautiful location in the countryside near town, lots of free parking, the room was comfy for one person and the attached ensuite washroom and shower had everything I needed with lots of hot water and good water pressure.

ArgentinaRoom 106 Broomhill. Cannot sleep confortably without earplugs. Boiler room next to room to noisy. The windows curtains were not suitable for the window type. Too much light comes through, and exit from bathroom is visible from outside because the curtains leaves to much exposed.
