Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe bar and restaurant staff weren't great . We were ignored and had to request to be served in both despite it not being busy. The bartender got my wife's order wrong despite having repeated it to her and then proceeded to try and say no that was what she ordered. It's a Shane as in the past my experience of the bar has always been really positive which is why we wanted to stay at the hotel. The blinds in the room didn't all work properly.
The front desk and concierge staff were exceptional. The rooms are also super comfortable and spacious, happy we upgraded to the king too.

United KingdomCons: I felt the hotel staff could have done better. For example, no one offered to help us with our bags and pram. No one offered to set up the cot inside our room when they brought it up to our room. Charging us £30 for a carton of apple juice. Yes ok, £5 per glass but in these instances, some thoughtfulness and a practical approach charging your customers would have not gone amiss. Eye contact at the reception - no one asked us "how was your stay" These were the small things i think separate the fantastic service from a 5 star hotel of this nature
Pros: Modern stylish looking hotel - very different to all the others. The effort and attention to detail was superb Nicely sized rooms with all the mod cons (some of the largest in central london) breakfast was lovely and well worth it Location was superb. A few moments from Oxford St. Staff in the restaurant were all attentive and engaged with us.

United KingdomUnfortunately the building next to the hotel is being renovated and from 7:30am onwards my room was not relaxing in any way. The noise from the adjacent building site really was atrocious, which meant there was zero chance of a lie on on my day of annual leave.
Room & facilities were great, as we're the staff as usual. I had an issue with my room (noise from building site outside my window) which once I complained the staff did all they could to resolve as best they could.

Great location for the west end, close to theatre, shops and lots of great restaurants-so easy we walked everywhere. Stayed in deluxe rooms, which were a great size and whilst it’s 00’s hey day is behind iit everything was clean and well maintained. Full English breakfast was great and the staff were super helpful and kindly sent some surprise cakes for our boys when they heard we were visiting to celebrate their birthday.

United KingdomI booked into the hotel and was “upgraded” to a delux room on the 1st floor, which was cold and not in the slightest what I would expect from the Sanderson. I went back to reception and paid a small amount for an upgrade to a much better space. The corridor on the first floor feels really cheap
The room I stayed in was super spacious and the front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. For a central London hotel the room sizes are generous. Whilst the hotel food was good, the service was slow, and as I was on my own I was mainly left alone. Not sure this is a hotel/ restaurant set up for solo travellers…

United KingdomEverything was great, but it was a shame that we couldn't eat breakfast or be in the bar with our dog which limited our use of the facilities to just staying the night.
This is a lovely, minimalist hotel that makes you feel calm as soon as you enter. The beds were very comfy and the rooms well equipped. They are also dog friendly which is a big win for our little dog Doris.
