If I had to find one drawback, I would say that it was a shame that the breakfast room was in the basement. Although it was a lovely feature that they offered this room for you to use if you wanted to get a takeaway and bring it back.

Stunning. Very recently beautifully decorated throughout- like a boutique hotel. The place was also absolutely spotless. In a wonderful position - close to the main beach and town centre, so easy to walk to both (although Torquay is a very hilly place and this is at the top of a hill). The road train stops in a road opposite the hotel and is very cheap, so that's an option if you don't fancy the walk (although this does not run in the evenings). The room had everything we needed, including tea and coffee, toiletries, hair dryer and plenty of coat hangers. The room was well laid out with the dressing table by the window, so great light. Mirror in the bathroom also had a good overhead light. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was great quality too. The breakfast menu also sounded delicious and you order this the night before and choose what time you would like it, but the hotel is so close to lovely cafés where you can sit outside with a sea view, that for our short stay we didn't get to try it. It is situated in the prettiest part of Torquay, as Belgrade Road was created by Victorian architects to mimic London's Belgravia and at the bottom of the road are the lovely landscaped gardens of Torre Abbey, with stunning sea views. Also, a great crazy golf course with sea views! In front of the hotel, in a very pretty garden, is a lovely sunny bench with cushions, where you can sit and read or relax Our hosts were a lovely, friendly couple, who were extremely helpful. We definitely hope to return!

Nothing couldn’t fault it

Lovely B&B, clean and very nicely presented. Rooms were spotless, lovely tea and coffee selection, toiletries and fluffy towels. Hosts were very friendly. Freshly cooked breakfast and great selection available. Ideal location with parking.

Property felt very homely, from the moment we walked in we were greeted by the most wonderful couple. Throughout our whole 3 night stay they ensured we had everything we needed and made us feel comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and everything was very clean. We will definitely be coming back.

The location was slightly away from the main center of Torquay.

The hosts of the property were exceptional. The parking was safe and secure. Breakfast superb!

Sandway House was a lovely bed and breakfast. The location was perfect, a short walk to the beach front and the town centre. The breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. Peter and Tracey were very welcoming and friendly. They shared lots of different ideas of places to go and the local transport. Sandway House is a little gem by the sea!

the owners have done a great day decorating this house and made it feel classy, our room was number 1 and was perfect. the breakfast was a great standard with the bacon being the best bit, the owners were really friendly with lots of great shares about the local area would definitely recommend this stay 🤩

I cannot say there was anything I could pick out everything was great.

Great location close enough to all that Torquay offers. Abbey sands are close if you want a beach hol, or with a walk or bus ride if you don’t fancy driving or want a drink, are several points of interest. The property has been refurbished to an excellent standard and is lovely and clean. the rooms have an individual flourish in the choice of decor. Breakfast was delicious and as expected. We were made to feel welcome from the start and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

We've just had a wonderful stay at sandway house..Pete and Tracey are the perfect hosts! Lovely friendly couple who made our stay very enjoyable..we had a lovely room on the ground floor that was spotlessly clean and the most comfortable bed you could wish for.. The breakfast was superb restaurant quality and plenty of choice..The homemade granola was delicious.Thankyou Pete and Tracey for a wonderful stay and hope to see you both again.

The owners were lovely people, friendly and helpful in every way. The house was spotlessly clean and in a very convenient part of town. My grandchildren were made to feel welcome which I appreciated. Breakfast was first class.

Had a lovely stay at the sandway. Lovely clean B+B. And superb breakfast. Peter and Tracey were exceptional hosts and we was made to feel welcome from the time we arrived. Highly recommended the sandway if your looking for somewhere to stay in torquay.

Stayed for two nights at Sandway House. Everything was very clean. Room was very comfortable. Good amenities close by - shops and a pub. Short walk to seafront and city centre (10min). Both Torquay and Torre railway stations are a short walk away (10min). Both Peter and Tracey were excellent hosts - nice to talk to and very welcoming. Excellent breakfast in very nice breakfast room. Couldn't fault Sandway House at all - would happily stay there again.
