    Excellent Value for money.

The bathroom was clean and over the bath shower was good, but there was a few small maintenance matters that made it look uncared for. Holes not filled in under the towel rail. Black stick on skirting board breaking up and coming away. New sink pedestal fitted and the gap in flooring left. Mould on the grouting in a couple of places, which a bit of a well known product would have sorted out. These things are small and didn’t detracted from the overall value but niggled and if fixed would have meant no negative comments about this stay.

Breakfast was excellent value for money. A choice of continental and or traditional, fresh pastries and fruit each morning and a decent cup of coffee. Hot food was very good, well presented and cooked fresh. Room was a nice size and beds comfy if a little soft. Restaurant staff friendly. Food good and excellent atmosphere. I was worried staying in a pub and our room was over the bar but by 11.30 at the latest all quiet and peaceful

Only gripe was I booked a double room which I assumed meant a double bed not to single beds pushed together!

I was greeted on arrival by a lovely lady who was so friendly and informative, straight away I felt relaxed. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good quality ensuite bathroom. Food and drink at the adjoining pub where good quality and value for money

OLD-FASHIONED BATHROOM. SLIGHT TRAFFIC NOISE FROM MAIN ROAD. VERY CREAKY FLOORS, BUT TO BE EXPECTED IN 400 YEAR-OLD PUB.

EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE BED WITH QUALITY BED LINEN. SPACIOUS ROOM. GOOD BREAKFAST MENU, COOKED TO ORDER USING QUALITY LOCAL INGREDIENTS. BREAKFAST SERVED TILL 11 EVERY DAY. KIND, FRIENDLY STAFF. VERY EASY ACCESS IN HEART OF HISTORIC MARKET TOWN WITH GOOD, FREE PARKING FACILITIES.

Pub was a bit noisy at night but can’t complain as I knew the room was over a pub. The food was a bit on the average side.

Easy to find and park. Really nice hotel over the pub. Room was a great size and really comfortable. Super clean! Great location right in the middle of Towcester.

My son was upgraded to a gorgeous double room. Bed linen lovely and clean. Loads of shower gel and tea and coffee. Rooms 1 and 2 separate and felt really like a wing by itself. Really nice.

only small things - easier parking, room got too hot for me at night but worked out how to turn off heating and open window. Noisey wedding on Saturday but they were done by midnight.

I was in room 20, which was quite compact with not much room beside the bed.

Great location on the High Street in Towcester. It has its own car park at the back, just pass your vehicle deals to the reception. The staff were friendly and helpful staff and I paid a great price. I enjoyed a nice pint of Tribute ale with my meal in the bar in the evening. My room was comfortable and very clean. Plenty of tea making supplies, nice towels, and comfy bed.

There was nothing I can suggest to improve the hotel. It would have been nice if there were lifts, but that's probably impractical in such an old building. The hotel is on a busy road, but I had specifically looked for somewhere in the heart of things.

A very nice hotel, situated in easy walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants. Free parking, great breakfast. My room was a decent size with a good en suite bathroom. The restaurant and bar were pleasant and not too busy, although I only stayed on a Monday night. The price I paid was very good value for money compared to what I would have paid to stay in a city centre hotel. The staff were all polite and helpful.

Bar prices seemed high, nearly £17 for 2 lagers and a small Pinot Grigio. £12 for a full cooked breakfast also seems a bit OTT, although there was plenty of it. trying to find a parking spot is difficult if they`re busy, not what you want when it`s pouring with rain.

Room was clean and surprisingly quiet, given it was facing the road. 3/4 size bed was a better option than a single bed. extensive menu for food and friendly obliging staff.

It was a bit tired, especially the bathroom, but the bed was comfortable.

Had a car park which was essential. Was in central location. Was a Greene King which we knew was a comfortable hotel. The bedroom was adequate for a one night stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The car park was full when we arrived but a member of staff came out and found us a spot to park. Breakfast was excellent with good hot choice.

Window would not open, so the room got a bit stuffy in the night. Reported when checking out, and was assured that this would be followed up. Comfy mattress but very noisy bed frame - every time you moved/turned over, it creaked 🙈
