I wouldn't have put the room as 4 star. It was nice but quite small and the walls were thin (we could hear our neighbours snore).

Everything I needed... comfortable bed, good parking, lots of grassy areas to walk the dogs, lots of sockets, breakfast made to order with a smile. Helpful staff. Close to good restaurant (Inn on the Loch). Close to Agricultural Halls.

The B&B was easy to find. The room was lovely - very clean, nicely decorated and snug & warm on a chilly March night. The breakfast next day was generous and set me up nicely for a long day. The people I met were welcoming and very hospitable. A great find and if I look forward to staying there again

My key at room info were on the desk at reception along with a breakfast proforma. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and bed with tea and coffee. Breakfast was freshly cooked and most satisfying. I've stayed at the Equi several times and will do so again if I am in the area of New Lanark. The Equi is based on a riding school - I did not avail myself of there services - but it would be ideal for those who are looking for a riding holiday

Check in very quick, my key and room information was in reception. Comfortable room and bed. A very quiet hotel. Breakfast ordered the night before but freshly cooked. Breakfast menu varied and includes traditional British and continental. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I've stayed at the Scottish Equi several times and will do so again when I am in the area. The location was ideal for my work being within 15 minutes of the office. Given its' name the Equi is for people who love horses and there is a large stable and riding school on site.

lovely area with walk around countryside. Nice pub nearby on the lake. Comfortable beds. Roomy size to the rooms. Specially liked the themed names for the rooms. Lovely staff.

Stayed one night as I was attending a charity diner at nearby property and just needed a bed for the night. The room was very clean and had everything you would need for a short stay. I got a good night's sleep and there was a very good full English breakfast included in the price. Very friendly staff at reception and breakfast room

Decor very bed and breakfast (should have read the name) but physically it is more like a hotel, in a separate prefab building on two floors.

An apple phone did not get along with the wifi. Not the hotel itself, but ... we had trouble finding dinner in the nearest town as we returned from a day out; perhaps it was late by local standards although not late :o) We got some snacks at a grocery store to tide us over - but then we got to eat the cherry pie at the lovely little lake adjacent to the b and b, so that was O.K.. Oh yes, I should add, dinner by the lake was excellent on our first night, so our mistake was to not make reservations for the second evening!

It was fun being surrounded by the grounds and stables of the riding club. There were people coming to enjoy their rides and we could share their enjoyment. The staff were all excellent - friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good. Our room was good value for money - comfortable, clean, quiet.

Bathroom was basic and a bit grubby, lack of horses and stable viewing or involvement given it was marketed on lots of equine activity going on (for the kids to potentially see). Probably not a good choice unless actually doing riding etc with the stables.
