Wow! is what best describes Lewis & James’s place. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay with perfect hosts then this is the place for you. Beautiful decor all through the house and bedrooms. All the bathroom products are sustainable products down to ‘who gives a crap’ toilet rolls. I’d forgotten my shampoo but noticed the little slab of Devon soap that said you could wash your hair with it and I thought no way only to eat my words as it was amazing and left my hair so soft. Then breakfast the next day and I can honestly say it was the best breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere, Lewis brought fresh fruit out then showed us all the other stuff like overnight oats, croissants, cereal, yogurts, jams , fresh orange juice and this was before our full English with quality bacon & sausages and beautiful homemade bread toasted. I would definitely recommend this place if you like quality all round. Thanks again Marie & Alan

The owners were incredibly friendly and approachable. They went out of their way to provide an excellent service. The breakfast was outstanding with homemade extras like lime marmalade and lemon muffins making it unique to the property.

Well positioned between Ilfracombe town, Woolacombe and a range of stunning beaches. The property has been beautifully decorated by James and Lewis, the proprietors, giving it a boutique feel. A stocked fridge, good tea and coffee making facilities, made my stay all the more enjoyable. There is a stunning garden to the rear for residents to enjoy on those beautiful sunny days and a fully stocked bar with seating downstairs where residents help themselves and pay on an honesty basis, a lovely touch,

There is absolutely nothing I can think of. The hosts were very detailed and thought of everything.

The location was perfect, the Earlsdale was very clean and beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were amazing and all the extra little touches were very much appreciated (homemade cookies in the bedrooms, honesty bar in the lounge and in the bedrooms). The hosts went above and beyond with their hospitality. We didn’t want to leave.

The location was good. The hosts were excellent as was the breakfast selection and quality. The room facilities were above average and the personal touches were appreciated, especially the lovely cookies and water. Our room as very clean and it was a real bonus having our own a mini fridge.

Spotlessly clean run by two lovely guys. Recently stayed a few times at the 5✨️ Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport our room at Earlsdale Bed and Breakfast was much cleaner and the breakfast 100% better. Well presented, cooked to perfection, hot and delicious. Stayed for a show at The Landmark Theatre would definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend The Earlsdale Bed and Breakfast! Owners Jim and Lewis’ professionalism, passion, creativity, and attention to detail shined through in everything from the chic design of the B&B, to the vegan and gluten free chocolate that awaited me in my room (custom to my specific dietary restrictions). My room was spacious, luxurious, and comfortable. As an interior designer, I especially appreciated the soothing interior lighting and high end design materials and finishes, all of which came together to blend modern luxury with the unique historical elements of the building. The included breakfast featured a beautifully laid self service station with homemade and locally sourced delicacies. I very much enjoyed the “Full English” that Jim so kindly prepared for me, which accommodated my strict vegan and gluten free diet. I’m confident that my friends who enjoy meat and dairy would have also been very satisfied with the other unassuming, yet elevated hot breakfast offerings. Thank you Jim and Lewis for being such attentive and accommodating hosts! I very much look forward to staying at The Earlsdale again in the future!
