Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing really.
Everything! Also their ability to accept a very late booking (within a few hours of our due arrival!) Close to the station, town centre and beach. The manager was especially kind and helpful!

The room was very warm - being at the top of the house - and a fan could have been provided to keep the room cooler. Small point...the blinds did not go right to the bottom of the window frame
Really nice guesthouse. Well-situated for the station, town centre and the seafront. I had a quite a small room, but it was well-furnished and clean. Tea and coffee were provided with a kettle. The bed was comfortable. Good value for money!

The parking situation was not as convenient as we could park outside the property only at specific times but we found a solution as there is paid parking nearby overall the staff was nice and helpful and allowed us to check in early and the property is within easy reach to both the beach, old town.
The room was comfortable and big.The door of the bathroom was not closing well to add privacy and we were at the basement so not so much view from there but we didn’t mind as we were out most of the day.The windows were big though and airy and the room had lots of amenities that made our stay comfortable

Beds are far too soft and a room for three people is just too small. Very smelly kettle and generally in need of a small revamp.
Great location and easy 15 minute walk into the centre.

Add back in breakfast service and it'll be perfect!

Part of the bed structure was broken on the corner. When we sat down on the corner of the bed it fell in, so we adjusted the wood pieces on the base to make it work. Otherwise it was a comfy bed.
It was very quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The place was very close to coffee shops and the beach.

The Booking.com description said 'Breakfast is served', but the booking confirmation ALSO said 'No Breakfast served in property at the moment' (c.12/Oct/24), which caught me out, and should be checked. Not a problem for me, since there are some nice cafes in town.
Good location close to rail station and town centre. Clean & comfortable room with a wash basin. Friendly and helpful welcome. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage after checkout.

All good!
Room and bathroom clean and well equipped, with everything I needed. Great value for money, especially compared with bigger hotels nearby. My room was a little small but I had deliberately chosen a small, cheaper single room. Host was welcoming, friendly and helpful

I wish the bathroom was connected to my room so that I didn’t have to pass the other room to get there. However, it was fine the bathroom was beautiful and clean.
The host was a very nice lady and informative especially with parking. Such a nice place to stay! I would definitely return if I’m in the area! Fantastic location 🤩 The bathroom was well equipped and I loved the shower gel which was provided 👌

The welcoming was really poor. I was asked questions about my address and also to demonstrate my bank card. I thought it was also for confirmation of my identity but they take card details to charge you in case of damages. First time I've experienced that and didn't feel ok with someone putting all that info in their tablet. Also the whole procedure took place in a narrow corridor just at the entrance, we felt like intruders. Despite the room being nice there was a terrible smell of a wet dirty sock outside of the room so we could smell it all night.
The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious,and the bathroom was clean. The guesthouse is in a good location.

In the morning people put trash out in the street just in bags and of course rats and gulls tear those apart. It was like at the city dump when we were going back to car. Card details were held on check-in - really strange (I just provided unused card details and then blocked it). There was an opening between floor and doors so high you would squeeze whole foot through. I pushed the towel in it to have privacy.
Location was good and also bad. Near the beach and the centre. This means walking distance but also gulls yelling bloody murder almost whole night. The house is also walking distance from a car park with electric charging. The floor in the bathroom was spotless. Almost like a mirror. Cleaning done well!
