Very small bathroom and the shower door didn’t close

Being woken up at 5.50am to a fire alarm and coming back to the room to shower to find out there was no water and wouldn’t be fixed until later that day. No nice views Fridge didn’t work properly - our drinks didn’t cool down at all. Rooms felt a little dated.

Room size. Booked ‘deluxe double’ finding ourselves in an extremely small room on the top floor, under the sloping roof. Deluxe??? Not really. A small shower in a tiny en-suite. Everything is within two steps from the bed. If you use the stand for the suitcase, you effectively make it impossible to get to the left side of the bed. There’s an AA award at reception for breakfast. HOWEVER… Breakfast wasn’t served at the hotel, but we could go to the other’GRAND’ hotel around the corner, if we wanted to. The bar and restaurant were shut, and dark. This was a Saturday night! We left our bag at the hotel before we actually checked in. When we came back , they had ‘stored it safely’ in an open and accessible room in the main area of the hotel, where there were actually some people sitting on a sofa. We found the price very high, compared to what was offered. This calls itself a 5* hotel, and we expected so much more from our stay.

Nothing! I liked everything about the property!

Everything about the property! This was actually as its name like a proper 4 star!!! I just loved the place! The transportation to airport or anywhere in central London everything is very accessible from this place! I think I will be booking this place anytime I go to London from now on!

Very small room The bar closes early!

The hotel is ideally located for Paddington Station and for Hyde Park. Lots of places to eat and drink Lovely comfy beds with great quality linens.

Electric socket were not working with iPhone charger.

Continental breakfast was based on wheats, so I was missing muesli etc. It could be more ample with more fruit and vegetables, and non-dairy or healthy eaters should be taken into consisideration better.

A nice little hotel, the room was a bit small but completely renovated. I appreciate that showers were new and worked well. The lighting was pleasantly soft, and the general atmosphere at the hotel quite nice.

I messaged the hotel cause I stayed for the night on my birthday and asked if the staff could add a little something extra. I was happy to pay to have wine or something else in the room but I never got a reply. The message was not even seen. I asked as well if I could leave our backpacks at the reception as I saw that there were 2 luggage and 1 tote bag left at the reception and the receptionist said we can’t leave our bags. I asked for a small plastic bag to put a bit of my stuff in before we left the hotel because it was raining and the receptionist said they don’t have any bags. Not even one plastic bag. The hotel was recommended by a friend and from the reviews I read, I guess I was hoping for more.

I liked that the room was clean but it was not as spacious as I thought but overall, it was a nice room with most of the amenities my partner and I needed.

Room was very small, but that is standard in London. Only had small suitcase, but big suitcase would not have opened. While still 4 stars is appropriate, it is dated and due for a refurb in the next 10 years.

Location was convenient though not suitable if you have trouble walking more than a couple blocks. Business centre was very helpful when I needed to do some work. Underfloor heating in bathroom was wonderful! Staff were helpful in minding my luggage on departure day while I explored.

It was very expensive £194 just for one night without breakfast. We didn't check in until 9pm and we had to leave at 7.30am so really it wasn't worth it. Although that is not the hotels fault. We weren't asked if wanted breakfast at an additional cost. When we went into the room there were some soft drinks and wine, also some bottles of water. There didn't seem to be any information saying if these were included in the price of the room so we assumed that we would have to pay extra. So we didn't partake. There were some reading lights but we couldn't work out how to turn them on. There was also a small green light in the ceiling which meant that the room wasn't fully dark and I woke up at 5pm could go back to sleep because of the light.

The room was very clean, and quiet. We liked the large bed, and the additional extras such as toothbrush etc in the room. Also it was useful to have a microwave. The shower was fantastic. The staff were polite, although one young man looked as if his suit jacket had shrunk in the wash! Or maybe he was wearing someone else's.

The bedding was very cheap and thin, the sheets had stains on them. The room and bathroom was extremely small, my partner wasn’t able to walk past the bed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was a very short walk from the station and 20 minutes from Hyde Park, where we spent the evening at winter wonderland.
