We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

United KingdomWe had a problem with the shower in our room which didn't work properly, and nearly scalded my partner. The staff couldn't resolve the issue on the night as their was no maintenance staff around at that point but they were quick to provide us with another room key. We didn't move into the room as we were only staying the one night and had already unpacked but it meant we at least had access to a functioning shower.
It was a spacious hotel, the room had all your necessary amenities. It was fantastic that the hotel had a pool, for the most part we had it to ourselves. The view from the dining room at breakfast is fantastic, almost panoramic views of the bay. In my opinion it was a shame that they have such heavy curtains up (they have blinds as well) it would really make the most of the amazing view they have in their breakfast room if the curtains were removed. The hotel is a great location to visit Shanklin Chine which is very beautifully lit up at night!

United KingdomIn the shower bathroom, the waste water pipe was a bit blocked. The water was not going out. We had to switch off the shower and wait for the water to go out them finish our shower.

United KingdomBathroom had a strong smell of urine, cups in the rooms were made of plastic and weren't properly cleaned. The room was quite dated, so is the rest of the hotel.
The staff was amazing, incredible how well Alex at reception accommodates customer requests and how well they treat each other. Bed was comfy and food was decent for the price, again staff in the hotel restaurant are super stars, they all deserve a raise! Heated swimming pool is always a plus. There's a bar with decent choices, pool and foosball table and live music at night. There's a locked shed for safe storage of bicycles overnight

Even though the weather was cold, we were feeling very hot inside and the Hotel does not have an air conditioner. Bathroom did not have a lot of toiletries, just a soap bar.

United KingdomIf I was going to complain about anything, it was about the fact that there was no table booked for breakfast at check-in. So, at breakfast time we entered the dining room, which had numbered tables, and went to sit at an empty one only to have another guest tell us that the table was taken. One after another, staff members asked us what the problem was and having told them, then left us standing, somewhat embarrassed by the stares of other diners, some of whom also queried what we were doing, with loaded breakfast plates in hand, by the entrance doorway for 5 -10 minutes before, eventually, a fourth staff member found us somewhere to sit.
Mostly, it all went well. Staff very helpful. The facade of the hotel let it down a bit with damage and peeling paint but the interior was much better than expected with a large welcoming entrance lounge and easy room access without too many stairs. Room 93 was large, with an "ensuite" bathroom, and brightly daylit with large windows despite being semi-basement. Clean, well decorated, good "blackout curtains", comfortable twin beds and an idiosyncratic (It was found necessary to turn it off after channel changing and then turning it on again to activate the channel. I forgot to mention it to management!) television.

Location is very good. The room was clean, spacious and bright, the double bed was comfortable. The hotel has a nice swimming pool which we enjoyed.

As a Hotelier I was very sissified with breakfast in a large restaurant was only had a few guests in, but was unable to sit as the window table as it was already set up for dinner, this is at 8:30 in the morning, was push to a corner of the room what was dark, also set up for dinner, so what was the point on not letting the guest have a window seat. Upset the wife that walked out over the service. Having a electric car was unable to get it charge even though offered to pay, only need a normal pug in from the mains. asked three difference receptionist to be told that they would get back to me but didn't. The room was under the main restaurant where a live bank was playing from 8:00 to late with a 7year old was not the best room to be in.
