Once more at Shave Farm. Very warm welcome from Kate and James. A much needed pot of tea and biscuits upon arrival in front of a roaring fire. Superb accommodation, a large and most comfortable bed, en suite bathroom very good. An amazing, delicious breakfast. A perfect rural location and easy to find. Kate and James the perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble for them. Thoroughly recommended!

Clean linen with lots of towels and products in bathroom Very quiet room (even for a light sleeper) Very spacious room and living area/kitchen BBQ facilities (we didn’t use it though) A number of very good pubs nearby Hosts leave you to do your own thing but are available if needed Tip: The Bell at Broadway was the best local pub/restaurant for us. We didn’t like The Five Dials Inn (rude staff)

Having to leave!

Everything about the accommodation worked well for us, it was quiet, beautifully decorated and very clean. The bed was so comfortable! The log burner is a great addition in the colder months. We would love to return.

We had an absolutely amazing 2 night stay at this beautiful cottage. The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and accommadating and ensured all our needs were met. Just the break we needed, surrounded my nature away from the busy city life. We even got to see the local farm animals which our kids really enjoyed. The cottage was very spacious, beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing with lovely big beds and comfy sofas. Clear to see a lot of effort and care has gone into maintaining this cottage and its surrounding area. Access to a private hot tub was also an added bonus. View of the lake is gorgeous and has access to play equipment along with a variety of animals to keep the kids entertained. We will definetley be coming back when it is warmer.

Other places we've stayed have left a small welcome hamper on arrival which include things like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, biscuits, crisps etc and flowers to get you started with the essentials and make you feel welcome. I think for the price you pay, something little like that would make a massive difference.

The venue and facilities were lovely! Me and my partner do a lot of stay cations and this by far was our favourite in regards to layout and modern decor. Love the fact that it is slightly away from the farm so you have the privacy wanted.

Nothing, it was perfect for our needs 💗

Location was great for us, we could visit Somerset, Devon and Dorset. Kate the owner also runs a B&B and self catering clients are able to purchase breakfast if required. We stayed in Apple Loft and it exceeded our expectations as it was far bigger than we thought. All appliances, furniture, decoration is if a very high standard.

We were 2 families visiting and we had the self catering cottage and family suite which was next door. It worked perfectly for us as there was ample room for us all to hang out in the cottage for meals etc. Both were beautifully decorated and the facilities were great. Being December it was a shame we didn’t get much use of the private cottage garden but in the summer it’d be fabulous. Breakfast was great and the hosts were lovely. Highly recommended!
