The view from the window which was a sea view wasn’t great as the windows have issues with permanent streak condensation marks between the glass panels so it never clears. If this was fixed the views would be amazing.

The staff were friendly, the rooms were a lovely size and the location is brilliant. The breakfast was good too.

Very friendly reception staff. Allowed us to leave our case before check in. Very large room. We were allocated a downstairs accessible room as my wife has mobility issues. Comfortable bed, good size bathroom and walk in shower. Nice buffet breakfast, with the bread rolls being warm. Opposite the beach and on bus route to the town centre and Hastings. Pub across the road for food at night.

Road noise. A group of noisy German youngsters who insisted on doing all their loud talking and laughing in the corridors. A phone call to reception quickly alleviated the situation. Only one flat pillow provided.

Excellent situation. Clearly was very impressive in the hay day of taking UK seaside holidays. Room was adequate with a seaview, good private en suite, tea and coffee facilities. Bed was comfortable with plenty of fresh clean linen .Bar was closed when we were there. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, varied and plentiful. All staff were efficient, courteous and pleasant.

The exterior of the hotel is a bit tired and could maybe use some re-vamping.

This stay exceeded our expectations. We booked a room for one night rather last-minute to attend a gig, not expecting to be wowed due to the great value. Our room was large and clean, with a fab sea view. I was worried about the noise due to the room being on the first floor next to a busy road, but nothing disturbed us during the night. The bed was also huge and comfortable! A delicious cooked breakfast served until 11am was included, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is obviously right next to the beach, close to the pier and about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre, the train station and some interesting shops. We had dinner at Rustico Neapolitan, which was very good. I would highly recommend Shore View - thanks for a great stay!

We have stayed at this hotel before and we knew what to expect. All dislikes are facilities/ condition of the building related. Didn’t K Like that we could not open the balcony door . The view was obstructed by a safety net. The window wouldn’t close, poorly working soap dispenser in bathroom.

Room - dated, but clean, location - excellent, breakfast good, special thanks to Breakfast room staff.

There was a strange smell in the 1st floor corridor & on entry to the room. Couldn’t make out what it was. Once you started to look around the room it needed a deep clean, lamp light bulbs dusty, bottom of bath discoloured, carpet appeared well worn, stains on electric wall heater.

Staff were friendly. Double bed was comfortable. The room had all facilities you would expect eg iron/ironing board, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, towels with bonus of sea view. Breakfast was filling and of good quality. Hotel proximity to pier, beach, shops, restaurants and train station

Just a couple of minor things. No bath mat, no non slip mat in shower, toilet seat needed adjusting seat wouldn’t stay up!

When we arrived, the light in the bathroom didn't work, and we found a pile of dirty socks in the wardrobe, when I mentioned this to the receptionist he said we could change room, because they don't have any maintenance working over the weekends, I said we already unpack, but get the sock removed, which didn't get done until the next day.

Great location,near bars restaurant, the pier ,and the main shopping centre, short ride in a cab.

Hotel feels like it could do with a refurb. Bathroom, while clean, smelt a bit fusty and was very basic.

Seafront location with street parking nearby, the room was clean and functional, very firm bed, bathroom was clean but basic. I’d put it on a par with a Travelodge which is fine for what I paid and the location is a bonus.
