Beautiful farmhouse in a rural location, both the house and the grounds were immaculate. The host Sandy gave us a warm welcome and was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The bedroom was decorated to a high standard, also warm, cosy and spotlessly clean with robes and slippers provided. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep. The complimentary hot & cold drinks tray in the room was a nice touch and much appreciated upon our return from Kielder Observatory. Our room (Kyle) had a separate private bathroom across the landing, it was huge with a lovely corner bath and fluffy towels! There was a large cosy sitting area downstairs but we never got the chance to use it. Breakfast choices were amazing and everything was served as per our order, Sandy was very attentive and looked after us well, she was a fantastic host and we would definitely return to this property in the future.

One of the most exceptional BnB’s we’ve ever stayed at. Everything we needed, and more was thought about and in our room. The breakfast is second to none, and our host was such a lovely person. Sorbietrees is in a great location, near to some amazing walks, sights and some lovely country pubs.

Everything was great but it would have been good to have a shower holder on the wall instead of having to hold the shower head the whole time. This was a minor issue though.

Sandy was a very friendly, warm and approachable host and it felt more like we were sharing her house rather than staying in a business. The breakfast was great with lots of options to select including vegetarian options. The room and private bathroom was spotless and had everything we needed.

For anybody who stuggles with mobility, there are steps to bathrooms.

Set in a lovely location, a good place to visit lots of places. The hotel has good-sized rooms, we had a separate bathroom, but there are en-suite rooms, all lovely and clean. Sandy is so friendly and helpful, and their choice of breakfasts is fabulous. Our full breakfast lasted till tea time.

Besides the comfortable room and the marvellous location, it was the kindness and hospitality of the owner that really sets this B&B apart from so many others. Sandy did everything that she could to make us feel welcome, with a kindness that we will easily remember. Warmly recommended to all travellers on their way around Newcastleton. Liked everything!

The property is out of the way but easily reachable by car. Parking was easy . The room and en-suite bathroom was laid out with clean towels , bathrobes , house slippers and an ample supply of toiletries and tea ,coffee and a nice touch fresh milk. Sandy was a super host welcoming , helpful and informative and made a super and very generous Scottish breakfast .

We loved everything about Sorbietrees B&B. The host was very friendly, warm and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and the location was so quiet and peaceful which gave us a good night sleep. The B&B was exceptionally clean and would highly recommend it.

Due to our age, the twist in the stairs and separate bathroom. The corner bath and hand held shower proved problematic. Would have preferred and en-suite shower room.

Friendly welcome and advice. Room and Bed very comfortable. Interesting books in the lounge. Breakfast excellent.
