Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing really, it was great! We stayed on a warm night and the fan in the room was really loud, maybe time for a lil upgrade.
The hut was really comfortable, clean and in a really beautiful private location.

United KingdomMaybe a bit pricey. But sometimes its worth splashing out to create some great memories. Can you put a price on well being and head space?
The location was spot on for us. Near to places we like to visit such as Stamford, Oakham and Rutland Water. The Cider Huts are in a tranquil setting away from the rat race which is what we both needed. It was really easy to find. We would love to return at some point, maybe when it's colder so we have an excuse to use the wood burner. The huts are so well planned out making best use of the space available. Some great little touches. There's plenty of wild life to see and hear (squirrels, red kites etc. Yes all in all a cosy, romantic, enjoyable trip away, will definitely recommend to friends and family.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to meet the owners on arrival.
Everything about the cider hut was perfect. It was beautifully designed with so much care - every time I looked around and saw another small detail that brought me joy! The highlight for me was the snug bed with high quality a mattress and crisp cotton bedding.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing !!
It was absolutely fantastically fitted out & attention to detail was outstanding . It was our 1st time in a Shepherds Hut & we loved it . The treasure hunt is a brilliant idea along with the fire pit & Arbour . It is a beautiful setting & we tried the cider also ( favourite was Apple/Rhubarb). The log burner was lovely & it’s a cosy way to spend a few days away from normality . Wish we could purchase a bottle of the apple/rhubarb cider . I honestly would give this place an award as being thoughtful & making us as welcome as we’ve ever felt .

We couldn't have wished for a more tranquil end to our summer roaming Burghley Mouse ( the hut ) overlooks a young but very fruitful orchard within which we could walk privately Further to that are views of open fields Wildlife was abundant, a red kite and squirrels were around in the day, and a tawny owl and bats by night The large oak has a swing attached...it took me back to my childhood 😀 An arbour with an already set firepit plus thoughtfully provided marshmallows E v e r y t h I n g had been thought of and thought out There was even a treasure hunt to complete at our leisure with eight relatively easy clues Interior is superb, well equipped and clean with a capital C, tasteful, high spec and done with love

United KingdomHere's your 5-star review with a touch of humor: --- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "What a beautiful little getaway! Nestled in an apple orchard just outside Stamford, this spot is the perfect blend of charm and tranquility. Old Tinny was kitted out to a high spec—who knew a tin can could feel so luxurious? The little touches, like the marshmallows and cozy blanket, made it just right for roasting by the fire and pretending we’re expert campers. The complimentary cider and fresh eggs were a surprise that we didn’t expect but certainly didn’t argue with—who knew breakfast could be so fresh and delicious? And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, a badger decided to join us for an evening by the fire. It’s not every day you get to sip cider and swap stories with a local! We’re already planning our next visit and can’t wait to see how this place changes with the seasons.we will bring hot chocolate for next time. If you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle, this is your spot. Just be prepared to share your marshmallows with the wildlife!"
